A Brief History

Yellow Shoe Productions, the team behind CJ Simmons, was formed in September 2005 by the team of Chris Bevan, Hadleigh Roberts and Alexander Burley. Their first film venture was the mockumentary, 'Ghost Rider - A Tribute' which was followed by the initial creation of CJ Simmons in 'Bomb Voyage'. Filmed in a day, this 15 minute spoof thriller was the subject of a glowing reception upon its showing in May 2006 and featured insane bike stunts and fast paced action. From then on, various ideas were toyed with in respect to keeping CJ Simmons alive and starting in September 2006 Elite Mercenary, a feature length action epic began production. Meanwhile, the team behind CJ Simmons were creating other films as well such as the comedies Survival of the Fittest and Benton and Stokes along with the controversial Ellesmere College 6th Form promotional film which was subsequently removed from broadcast. After a grueling year long process of scripting, acting, filming and editing, Elite Mercenary was shown on May 22nd 2007 to a glowing reception and was hailed a a 'towering achievement' due to its steadfastness in the face of adversities such as awkward college timetables, 6th form student actors and various issues on and off set. Despite these setbacks, the film was completed and remains the pinnacle of the Yellow Shoe Productions era so far. Yellow Shoe Productions continued to work on film s up to July with the release of the comedy 'Saturday Afternoon Fever' and the documentary 'CJ Simmons - Behind the Sunglasses', chronicling the development and setbacks surrounding Elite Mercenary. Since August 2007, work has begun on a new series continuing the CJ Simmons story with the creation of 'Dissolution'. Featuring close character development and a thrilling plot, the story will be told of a series of 10 minute episodes beginning on December 6th 2007. With the development of this latest branch of the saga, one thing is for certain; CJ Simmons is here to stay!

What we are working on

At this moment in time, YSP is continuing the development of the Dissolution series. As well as this. several key figures behind the CJ Simmons series have been involved with an original short film entitled 'Gathered'. Stay tuned for more information on this as it becomes available.
