Values
As a Partnership. we will strive to reflect these values in our life and work:

Unity: Working together as the family of God
We are all united in Christ as one body, and this requires us to respect one another and live and work in such a way that we help, rather than hinder our brothers and sisters. As a Partnership we will encourage team work and collaborative ministry. We will actively seek ever better communications and mutually supportive relationships with one another.

Diversity: Making good use of God’s gifts
We are all one in Christ, but we are also different. We therefore need to respect the diversity of individuals, gifts, forms of worship and lifestyles that God has given. As a Partnership we will seek to encourage and support greater diversity in worship, community and calling.

Discipleship: Listening to and following Christ
To be a Christian means to follow Christ. We are therefore called to a commitment which should affect our whole lives. This means that ‘Sunday Church’ can never be the limit of our life with God. As a Partnership we will seek to support one another in our callings, both in the church and in the world. We will also strive to provide appropriate learning opportunities for all God’s people.

Mission: Turning outwards in response to God’s love
The Church is a community of people called to live for God in the world. This means that the Church has a mission — a purpose to which God has called us. As a Partnership we will:

  1. proclaim the good news of the kingdom

  2. teach, baptise and nurture new believers

  3. respond to human need by loving service

  4. seek to transform the unjust structures of society

  5. strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the Earth.

Tradition: Honouring our common legacy as we step forward
All churches stand within an ever-changing ‘tradition’ which unites us with Christians who have lived and worshipped before us, and also with those who will follow. As a Partnership we recognise that the church will never remain the same, but we will respect, use, and develop the heritage which has been passed on to us.

Grace: Trusting God and celebrating the Spirit’s work
We are human beings, called to be friends and co-workers with Christ. We can do nothing in our own strength alone, but God promises to help us through the Spirit. As a Partnership we will rejoice in all that God has done and be thankful for all that God will do. We will seek to be ‘faith-full’ in our actions and decisions as we trust God to be at work amongst us.
