This fan fiction serves as a prequel to the film 1982 Ridley Scott film, Blade Runner.  When I began thinking of writing a Blade Runner story, the idea of sequels only seemed to serve to cheapen the story and lessen the impact of the film's climax and ending.  The prequel seemed the only respectful way to go.

In this story, we look into the weeks before the events of the film, get to know Rick Deckard a bit more, and walk a few miles in his shoes.
