whistlefish oy savice.mp3 We are Whitstable Whistlefish - welcome to our website!
Whitstable Whistlefish is a community choir with over 30 members. The choir meets every two weeks on Sunday afternoons from 4 - 6pm and Monday evenings from 7 - 9pm
We welcome anyone with a desire to sing and a love of world music in all its diversity! There are no auditions - just get in touch and come along.
We sing anything from African lullabies to Bulgarian wedding songs, from Louisiana gospel to Trinidadian calypso and give two main concerts a year, one at Christmas and one in July at the beginning of the Oyster Festival in Whitstable.
As well as our bi-weekly rehearsals, we get together for social events. As one satisfied member says: "It's not just a choir, it's a way of life!"
