<p>A bug reported by a number of users with domain mapped sites, as a result of <a href="http://www.webjam.com/community/$webjam_blog/2010/02/23/important_information_for_domain_mapped_networks">changes we made</a>, has been resolved. The problem effected sites that displayed a the location of an address within a Google map. In order to rectify your own site we ask Premium users &amp; Partners to please log into your network(s) and check your maps. If there is any issue, before contacting Customer Support, please retrieve a new Google maps API key from <a target="_blank" href="http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html">http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html</a> and insert it in the field which can be found under the 'Settings' tab on your network.</p>]]></content><status>Published</status></entry><entry><id>af2b180e-fe0f-49bb-9009-00f6b7e1c4ed</id><title>12 Feb 10 - Known issue with Search functionality RESOLVED</title><link href="http://www.webjam.com/webjam_status/$webjam_service_updates/2010/02/12/12_feb_10__known_issue_with_search_functionality_resolved" /><updated>12-Feb-2010</updated><content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>As a result of <a href="http://www.webjam.com/community/$webjam_blog/2010/02/10/11_feb_10__planned_maintenance_window_1100__1145_gmt">yesterday's database migration</a> there was an unintended impact on search functionality. Currently search results are returning a traffic jam error page, and saved searches are also not working. You may also notice issues with publishing posts in the Blog, this is because the post is not able to be indexed in the search database. For now we recommend to save draft posts until this issue is rectified.</p>
<p>The Factory team are looking into this at the moment and we hope to have the issue rectified later today.</p>
<p>UPDATE (12/02/2010, 11:55am): The search functionality has been restored. This has come about as a result of a number of bugs which have been identified (including the issues with the Rich text editor in Chrome). These issues are specifically affecting the front end, layout and design of the site - and in many instances is causing browser incompatibility. The idea behind this project is to ensure the platform runs more smoothly and works across various browsers.</p>
<p>We'll update you on the progress of this project. These fixes allow "Pending" members to receive newsletters - as well as allowing "Newsletter" members to be successfully invited to join a network. <br />PLEASE NOTE: there is a known issue with Chrome browser not displaying the members tab as a result of this push. As a work-around please use the Firefox browser until this is fixed.<br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b><br />Search Module Fix - Draft Blog Post</b></span><br /><br />A bug was resolved that was causing the Search modules (Search and Saved search) to display draft blog posts in their search results. This was due to the search modules indexing the posts incorrectly. The templates are now able to be replicated again (visit the templates page: <a title="http://www.webjam.com/templates" href="http://www.webjam.com/templates">http://www.webjam.com/templates</a>).<br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b><br />Redirect Loop Causing sites to Traffic Jam</b></span><br />Some users advised that their network was not appearing when their typed the URL straight in to the browser (as opposed to following a link). This issue has also been resolved. <p>There were some issues where activity report emails were being received blank and in some instances not being received at all. We have investigated this issue and believe the issue is now resolved. The activity reports should now be successfully delivered with all the necessary content.</p>

<p><b><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Calendar Module Fixes</span></b></p>
<p>We have resolved two bugs that were being experienced with the calendar module. One fix now means that users are able to successfully create events. The second fix means that the option to create a new category is now fully functioning.</p>

<p><b><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Forum Module Settings Lightbox Fix</span></b></p>
<p>There was a small cosmetic fix made to the settings lightbox for the forum module. This fix was to lengthen a field that was rendering at half the width of the column when a user wishes to provide multiple forums.</p>]]></content><status>Published</status></entry><entry><id>3c6c69ff-5f00-4032-a255-ef3a4969a5b7</id><title>07 Jan 10 - DNS Problems From Yesterday Today Have Been Resolved</title><link href="http://www.webjam.com/webjam_status/$webjam_service_updates/2010/01/07/07_jan_10__dns_problems_from_yesterday_today_have_been_resolved" /><updated>07-Jan-2010</updated><content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Yesterday, starting around 11:30am GMT and lasting until 19:40pm GMT, Webjam&rsquo;s partner who providing the systems that allow browsers to find the webjam servers (DNS nameservers) was the target of a massive denial of service (DDoS) attack (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack for more information).&nbsp; The result was that many users had intermittent problems reaching the Webjam system, even though the system was up &amp; running.<br />&nbsp;<br />Because of the lack of information during the outage, Webjam decided to switch to another DNS provider.&nbsp; This was implemented last night and the changes went into effect throughout the night.&nbsp; Unfortunately two sub-domains weren&rsquo;t setup correctly and caused issues this morning &ndash; most notably that the dashboard (my.webjam.com) wasn&rsquo;t reachable.&nbsp; These have been fixed and the site is now fully operational.</p>]]></content><status>Published</status></entry><entry><id>dd8b49e0-ac4c-4b69-b056-65afdcbc819f</id><title>06 Jan 10 - Intermittent DNS Outages</title><link href="http://www.webjam.com/webjam_status/$webjam_service_updates/2010/01/06/06_jan_10__intermittent_dns_outages" /><updated>06-Jan-2010</updated><content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone,</p>

(For more information visit the Editor's blog post: <a href="http://www.webjam.com/community/$webjam_blog/2009/12/03/combating_spam">Combatting spam</a>) The tiers for these are set at 100 notifications per day for free users, 500 per day for Premium users and limitless for our Managed Services users. We noticed an issue with the count not resetting on a daily basis as it should have done. We have fixed this and the count will now be reset to the level it should be each day.<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b>Further Anti-spam Measures</b></span><br /><br />We have also revised and updated our capcha code to make it even more efficient at dealing with spam. <p>As part of our work to enhance easier use of the platform and to provide easier navigation to your profile page and your dashboard, we have added links to these in the top bar. On top of this, Premium users now have the ability to remove the site logo and Network title from the topbar altogether (this is done in the Premium Style Settings Tab of the Styles menu). <p>We noticed an issue wherein the page privacy settings of a network were not updating/saving. We have managed to get to the bottom of this and have fixed it.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b>Sort "My Networks" by Newest First </b></span></p>
<p>You can now sort your list of created Networks (in your dashboard) so the the last one you created is displayed first. These have now been fixed and direct you to the correct place.<br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b><br />Members Tab Updates</b></span><br />We have resolved some problems within the members tab. There was an issue wherein the members that were selected was not being remembered when moving to another page. This has now been fixed so that you can manually select members of your network more easily. <br /><br />There was also a fix made to the "Select All" functionality that exists in the members tab (by clicking on the checkbox at the top of your members list). This will select or deselect every member of your network - and the paging will not be affected by this.<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b>Profile Module Truncation</b></span><br />Some people were having issues displaying information on their Profile module if it was in a thin column on the left or right of their site. (http://www.webjam.com - for more information).<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b>Profile Module "Visitor View"</b></span><br />An enhancement to the Profile Module which means it is able to be set so that the page visitor of a site sees their own profile, instead of the site creator's. This was requested by, and will prove very useful to organisations using this module on their intranet site.<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b>"Owner" Now Displayed in Member Tab</b></span><br />This was raised with a view to helping co-editors include site owners in things like newsletters. Therefore the editor and any page or site co-editors are again able to create and manage blog posts.</p>
<p>When you click EDIT in the Blog module header, under the 'Co-Editors' tab you can choose to additionally give editorial rights of the Blog module to some members using the 'Only members checked below' drop down. In this setting these selected members have full editorial rights within the module.</p>
<p>In addition, we have introduced a collaborative setting. You are able to make ALL members of the site Blog co-editors by choosing the 'All members' drop down. You have the ability now under the 'Co-Editor' tab of the Blog module settings to either select 'All members', 'Site editors only' or 'Only members checked below' (&amp; then select specific members). This allows network editors to provide full collaboration on blogs for community sites by using the 'All members' option. Please note that these members will not be able to delete blog posts.<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b>Web Server Performance Fixes</b></span><br />We have made some enhancements to optimise performance this week. As is often the case it may take some time to fully appreciate the effect of these. Please check back for further updates.<br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><b><br />Newsletter Preview Fix</b></span><br />There was a bug with the branded newsletter preview (available for Premium users) not matching the style of the sent newsletter.
