Webjam has launched the My Files module, a much asked-for tool that can help you store a variety of different files on your webjam. In addition we've added the Post it note module which will allow you to write short notes about content on your page. Both new modules can be accessed in edit mode from the modules > My content tab.

The My files module

Once you add the My files module to the page you will see an empty module:

my files

Click the 'Add new files' button to view your file library. The library contains listings of all uploaded file types - including any previously uploaded photos. Please note it may take a short time to load your files on the first time you use it. To add other files, such as Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, click the Upload tab and the 'Select files' button to choose files from your computer.

My file library

The library contains a few new features. You can search for a specific file, or filter files using the tag cloud. The file type is shown by a thumbnail picture next to the file's title. You can view the URL of the file, insert it into your My files modules, edit the description or tags associated with the file, preview the file or delete it from your library.

Once you insert the files into your My files module they will appear with their file type, title, tags and size. Make changes to what information you display by clicking the EDIT button in the module header.

The Post it note module

This handy module is designed to allow you to give instructions or information about content or modules on your webjam. The Post it note module has a pointer for you to place it above another module:

In the example below the webjam editor has left a note for her members telling them about a layout change.

I noticed from the examples that the files shown are just a few kbs
I'd like to know what the maximum upload is before I use it.

    Thanks for your comments.

    To answer some questions:
You are able to upload any file type up to 5MG in size, with the exception of executable files. The maximum amount of files you can upload is 20 files (photos are not included in this file limit). Therefore the total capacity is 5Mg x 20 files = 100Mg.

It is unlikely anzgurllife24 that you will have a video under 5Mg so the best option would be to upload your video to a video sharing site and copy the HTML (embed code) into a Widget or Free HTML module.
