Waterloo Legal Advice Service

The Waterloo Legal Advice Service is a free service that provides legal advice every week on a Thursday evening. It has been running for over 30 years and is made possible by the solicitors and lawyers involved giving their time free of charge.

Free Legal Advice is available every Thursday night from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.  Doors open at 5.30 pm in Winter and 6:00 pm in Summer. Clients are advised not to come before the advertised opening times, as they will be asked to wait outside until the halls are set up. Due to the large demand for this service it can be very busy, so your patience is appreciated. Everyone who arrives before 8:00 pm will be seen.

Attorney General praises Waterloo Legal Advice Service on pro bono week

As part of national pro bono week in October, the Attorney General  for England and Wales , Dominic Grieve QC, MP,  visited the Waterloo Legal advice service at Waterloo Action centre .  WLAS is a free legal advice service for lambeth residents which has been running for nearly 40 years.  20-30 lawyers are on hand to give advice every Thursday evening and around 60 members of the public are helped each week.

The Attorney General, Dominic Grieve QC MP said: " Waterloo Legal Advice Service honours the best traditions of the legal profession's commitment to provide access to justice for all, and is making a real difference in the community. I am very much in admiration of the dedication and hard work of all those give up their own time, to serve their communities for free and provide help to so many people."
