If you want to create your own OR help encourage more people to make their own Trust Library do contact organisations such as the ones on this list...
http://www.communityrepaint.org.uk/Useful_Lin ... s.php using the advice on http://www.TRUStlibrary.org
Please contact & ask if they want Trust Libraries to look up http://www.TRUStlibrary.org and if they can provide volunteers to raise awareness about recycling or if we can partner with them. Ask them to comment directly on Trustlibrary.org and the facebook page.
Also add each one of them as 'like' on facebook and comment on their facebook pages so anyone can see our work (post saying ' Can http://www.TRUSTlibrary.org work with you? https://http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=348867089849 http://twitter.com/TRUSTlibrary ')
Hi,
I am an artist currently doing an Ma. My work is concerned with regenerating or making use of empty or wasted spaces, environments and materials while involving the local communities in the process through workshops and events.
I would like to find a shop where I can put on an exhibition by making work during a series of workshops with local communities within the space. Culminating in a final exhibition from the community for the community.
The work would be made from recycled or found material from the local area e.g. cardboard, newspaper. And the theme would be decided by the participants in the first workshop.
I GIVE
organisation
facilitation
a fun activity for local communities using waste materials
I have a CRB check from last year
public liability insurance upto £5 mill
I WANT
access to a space with electricity
time
any help anyone can offer
Thanks
Ed

Hi,
I went to this great event, last weekend, Saturday the 10th April, called Young Advisor Development Day: Getting your stories into the media! Although it was for the age group 13-19, I found it very educational. We spent the day looking at how to write for different media, publicity and marketing.
The event was started by a guest speaker from the BBC.
We looked at how to use a voice recorder, how to modulate the voice so that it sounds good and clear. We were also told how to address the camera and how to present ourselves in front of it.
Lunch was pizza (yummy!) and drinks.
After lunch we had a journalist from the BBC telling us, how to make news catchy enough to draw attention. Articles will get published which will be interesting for people to read and talk about.
About the press and who reads the paper, I found this quite interesting. The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country, The Guardian by people who think they ought to run the country, The Times by people who actually run the country, The Daily Mail by wives of people who run the country, The Financial Times by people who own the country, The Morning Star by people who think the country ought to be run by another country, The Daily Telegraph by people who think it is and The Sun who don't care who run the country.
Whatever your target audience, people's attention span is short, so catch them with your headline, summarise with your opening line and just get to the point.
I met a lot of new people, worked in a team and learnt a lot of new things. All in all I found this was a great event to be at.

I am in Preston, I love books and would like to be involved in a project that encourages reading as well as recycling, email briandkelly27@yahoo.co.uk
have lots of books to donate and know otehrs who would give books too
Message to Recycling organisations, Charitable orgs and Volunteering teams. Can we work with you to save books (and REUSE any other items that get recycled) from being pulped by purchasing/donating them and getting them from recycling companies & charity shops to local empty shops to give them away in TRUST Libraries so we can benefit local communities. Would it be possible to trial this with your organisation? We have funds to pay for the books (ideally looking for donations) and your teams can benefit your local community be creating your own Trust Library which will act as a great positive promotion for your organisation for free. If you process books your sorting process will be unchanged but the books are just stamped with a self inking book stamp we provide (saying 'free book take, read then give away' and then delivered to a location that you choose (using existing transport so no extra cost).
It would be great to trial this so you can benefit a local good cause by giving them free books?
We are looking for volunteers for these areas of work. If you are interested please comment here on this Volunteers page with contact details.
-Develop the social media and website.
-Volunteer managers to run individual shops across the country.
-People who can supply recycled/unwanted books (other items) to give away. (Ideally suppliers who can supply items AND deliver to a local/national shop)
-Logistics to deliver the goods to the shops.
-More empty locations to create free trust libraries.
-Funding to cover the cost of setting up Trust Libraries.
(of course we will give you free books to give away to friends/strangers![]()
