Written on 13-Sep-2008 by forest503Welcome to the Tigard Eco District Blog.
We have created this page for the businesses and local residents of Tigard and the surrounding areas to use as a resource and community board to express a need for change in the Old Town Tigard area. I am the owner of Cleaning Green a new Eco friendly cleaning store located in Old Town Tigard in the Main Street Paint Store. Yes, the paint store is gone I’m afraid. The Old Town Tigard area is an untapped non gentrified area that is in desperate need of real change. I am often asked why I would put a business that belongs in the Pearl district on Main Street in Tigard. My answer is simple; it’s a wonderful area! The Tigard area is easy to get to; the rents are relativity low and frankly the down town shop area could be good as good as NW 23rd, Alberta, Hawthorne or the Pearl with the right vision and community help. My vision is to see the Main street area flower into a rich shopping district bringing an old town feel with a new sense of Eco savvy businesses. I welcome you to join in the effort to help get this great area off the ground and become a valuable resource for the Tigard metro area.
Sincerely
JKW
