Hip hop music is not always a negative form of music. A lot of times hip hop music gets branded or labeled as bad music, because of some of the explicit lyrics the artist may use. Artist like Jay-z, Kanye West, and 50 Cent use explicit content in some of their songs. People who don’t listen to rap seem to listen to it and take it the wrong way. Rap artist use their songs to show you the harsh realities they may have had to go through. Appose to a person who’s never been through that, they may take it and listen to but they won’t understand the concept or meaning of the song. Then you do have some of the songs that do have a positive message but one who has no interest in rap music will not listen to it. People who say rap affects the behavior of the listeners can’t be serious because it all depends on the type of person it is. There are some people who listen to whatever they hear and will do it. So if that is the case, one can say the same about rock music or pop music. Most artists consider their music as an art form. To say hip hop or rap music is bad or that should be banned, would only take away from the art form.  Some of the richest African Americans are either hip hop artist or leaders who listen to hip hop music. Most athletes’ will tell you before they play a game that they listen to rap music to get them motivated. As far as some of the negativity in rap music it all would depend on the artist at hand that one is listing to. One cannot claim one particular genre of music to be bad. Negativity in music goes for all genres.

It all depends on the particular artist you listen to. Rock artist have some bad songs and so on and so forth with pop and r&b.  The kind of music that is played is all upon the listener. As my conclusion hip hop music is not always bad it all depends on the type of hip that the particular listener chooses to listen to. Many hip hop artists inspire others to vote and or to follow their dreams. In other words hip hop music is not always bad and or based of negative things.
