Our leaflets and posters

As part of Sun Awareness, the British Association of Dermatologists can provide a range of leaflets and posters (see below). Information leaflets about the different types of skin cancer are also available (please select from the options in the 'Skin Cancer' section to the left). If you would like any advice regarding your own Sun Awareness events, please do get in touch.

Sun Awareness packs:

The British Association of Dermatologists has created a Sun Awareness pack which is available free of charge to most UK addresses.

We offer two different, two-sided leaflets, one on prevention and one on early detection. The early detection leaflet contains our ABCDEasy mole check guide on one side, with step-by-step instructions on how to check your skin on the other side. The prevention leaflet features our sun safety tips on one side, and information of skin types on the other side.

Four different posters based on each side of the two leaflets are also available.

To order a free pack (50 of each 2-sided leaflet, and 2 of each of the 4 posters), please email your name, job title, organisation, and full postal address (inc. postcode) to sun_awareness@bad.org.uk with the email subject line 'SAW leaflets'. If you experience any difficulties in sending your order by email, or you wish to discuss your order please call 020 7383 0266. Orders take approximately two weeks (ten working days) to be processed and posted.

Please note - we are happy to cater for larger, smaller or customized orders to suit your needs, please just email the quanities of leaflets and posters required and you will receive an email response.

Early detection leaflet, containing our ‘ABCDEasy way to check your moles’ guide on one side and advice on how to check the skin on the other side. Prevention leaflet – the sun safety tips to ‘Save Our Skin’ – similar to the messages of the famous ‘Slip, Slop, Slap’ campaign in Australia , this guide gives four simple messages with SOS initialisms, to make them easily memorable.
