An under-used grip in tennis is the backhand grip. The backhand grip is the opposite of the semi-western grip. The racket face should be slightly closed when playing a backhand keeping control of the ball.
Bonus tip: If you use a single-handed backhand, increase your grip to gain more control over the ball and stop it from going out of the court. This is caused by your extra swing stretch and the closed racket face simply stops the racket getting underneath the ball in your swing.

Double-handed backhand drive
This is the most popular grip in tennis and is a very simple, yet powerful grip. To use the semi-western, place your tennis racket on the floor but leave the handle on your toe. (As below)

Reach down and pick up your racket with your strong/dominant hand. Do not adjust this grip. There you go - The semi-western grip is now in your arsenal!
Most players already use this grip without knowing the official name so if you do already use it, that’s a great start to improving your tennis!
