Elle fut la première chanteuse japonaise de JPop à voir une de ses chansons adaptées pour un manga/série animée. Son titre Cat's Eye correspondait tout a fait au manga éponyme, qui fut adapté en série télévisée en 1983.
Je suis sur que vous connaissez ce manga/série qui parle de ces trois soeurs qui volent des objets d'art de leur père. en plus elles sont recherchés par les policiers dont l'un d'eux est le fiancé d'une des soeurs...
Anri a pour le moment fait son dernier album en 2007 et est toujours félicité pour son travail par de nombreux pays comme les Etats Unis ou l'Angleterre où elle avait beaucoup vendu de disques dans les années 80 et 90.
Si vous avez vu les jeux Olympiques de Nagano en 1998, vous avez pu la voir chanter pour la cérémonie de clôture.
J'étais vraiment étonné par l'énergie qui était dégagé quand je l'ai écouté pour la première fois, il y a quelques années (pour pas dire décennies). Je suis vraiment fan de cet univers entre les chanteur et les animés. Les artistes essaient d'insuffler une vie à ce media et ils y arrivent parfois en nous créant de jolies chansons. J'adore celui de Cat's Eye qui est vraiment très bien rythmé et qui insuffle une énergie qui colle vraiment à l'univers de ce manga. D'ailleurs elle servira de modèle pour faire d'autres chansons de ce type pour la série animée de City hunter (alias Nicky Larson en France) ;)
