Takashi Yamazaki will adapt to theater one of the greatest animated tv serie from sunrise country. Yamato space battleship is the english common name or Star Blazers. If you don't know this animated tv serie, Yamato was created in 70ies/80ies and allow for the first time teenagers to  be concern by an animated tv serie universe. This animated serie is one of a greatest one in animated Japan history  because it opened a new opportunity. Thisstatus was given because the story shown in this animated serie was completely new and original. It was its new tone to tell a story and original based universe which was typically not addressed to children but for older. Story itself was deeply worked and become an herald for animated tv serie as Macross and Gundam. We don't have an invincible hero with some best weapons with infinite ammo, and which was indestructible.

This time, we had a story which shown some human heroes, like us. They fight against aliens to save the human beings. This concept is like starship troopers movie or Ender's end game novels. In these both universe, aliens come under attack and push under our last limits to survive. In the movie concerning Yamato, we see this end coming without a hope to win against this enemy. We haven't an idea or technology to be a best opponent. It's like we're waiting a present from sky. Unfortunately for human beings, we are in 2199 and we never go outside solar system and we don't really know why we are under attack. The only thing we know is our planet was devasted by some big nuclear meteorites. Few humans are alive, Earth suffocate and even in deep ground installation radioactivity seems to progress.

Fortunately, humanity know a wonderful circonstance. Two young persons discover in mars crashed spaceship a little capsule. After analysis in command center, information was given : it's a plan to build a propulsive engine for a space battleship and in it they find a message from a princess coming from Iscandar who sent an invitation to take an object. Mission for this space battleship is to go to this planet and travel through 148 000 year light. The team of this spaceship will have only one year to go and return to Earth. Of course, this trip will be hard with a lot of ambush and other incident from space. War will be over in their side but they must accomplish their mission to take back the only hope to solve Earth : Cosmo Cleaner D. This engine will repair and heal Earth damages caused by radioactivity.
