2009.03.29: Quad City Steamwheelers

March 29 we will be attending the Quad City Steamwheelers game for a special Faith and Fellowship Night in connection with Churches United. We will meet at the church at 2:00 to go together. Tickets are at a special discounted price of $7.00 and must be pre-purchased.

2009.03.15: Serving at the Rock Island Family Christian Care Center

The South Park Youth (SPY) will be preparing and serving dinner at the Rock Island Family Christian Care Center today. We will meet at the church at 4:45 to ride over in the van to the shelter and be back around 8:30.

Spring Fling for Children & families

Steam Wheelers- Sunday March 29th

Middle and High school youth will be attending a Steam Wheelers game on Sunday, March 29th. They who have the opportunity to meet with other area youth & enjoy the game. Youth have pre-purchased their tickets & will meet at the Church at 2pm.

At SPY we have enjoyed a fun-filled winter, and look forward to a great spring. During the past few months we have prepared and served dinner at the Rock Island Family Christian Care Center, enjoyed a night of bowling, and thrown a Christmas party at which we studied and discussed the transformative power of Christ’s love.

With Winter Break coming up at Augustana, we will be away for three weeks. However, when school resumes SPY will be back in force: we have a trip planned to Snow Star on Jan. 18, and on Jan. 31, we will meet at PepsiCo Recreational Center for a night of gym games, fellowship, and study.

We appreciate your continued support, and look forward to continuing our ministry here at South Park Church. We wish all at the church a blessed beginning to the New Year. Stay warm!
