This time of year always brings me to reflect on where my life is now, what changes need to be made, and how will those changes be implemented?.  Of course I anticipate God has other plans that lie ahead, but we need not worry.  As an experienced mother of 4, I must not only plan ahead, but prepare my mind and my heart for what may arrive at my doorstep.

With the New Year ahead, I am excited to begin the journey into my 2nd year at South Park and hope God will fill my mind with some fresh ideas for our Christian Education program which will bring forth some new children and more talented volunteers.

The CE committee and I are so grateful for the time and talents of the individuals who teach each week; there would not be a program without them.  It is such a great reward to teach young children about the word of God.  I would like to invite each one of you to visit our classrooms on Sunday mornings to see how simple the curriculum is and how much the kids and teachers enjoy it!  If Sunday school is not your thing, we have other opportunities for you to connect with the children:  Junior Church, Card Mission with Julie Hook, Spring Fling, Vacation Bible School, and other annual events.  We always appreciate any time you can share with us.

Lastly, I want to share that Vacation Bible School planning is already underway!  We are pleased to announce that in June we will bring Camp E.D.G.E. (Experience + Discover God Everywhere) to the church.  Once again an invitation will be extended to our neighborhood churches to join us in this extreme adventure camp.  The camp will take kids on exciting Bible treks to experience and discover God everywhere, every day.  Each Bible trek will be supported with songs, crafts, games, stories, and of course snacks! Keep your eyes & ears open for more information in the weeks to come.
