Pretty cool Pitts. Looks like the girls play better than the guys LOL. Has anyone heard from Holly lately?

03-Dec-2008 - 22:21

I gotta go, too. My parents will be here in a few minutes. See y'all later.

03-Dec-2008 - 22:21

Yes, both the game and party were a lot of fun :-)

Got to run. Be back tomorrow.

03-Dec-2008 - 20:34

Yeah. That's why I said it looks like fun.

Did you watch the videos?

03-Dec-2008 - 20:17

Hey, Pitts, that looks like fun!

03-Dec-2008 - 20:12

Hey, all. Just finished a math practice test. I got an 86% on it. I'm hoping I'll do even better than that on the test tomorrow.

For those of you who were interested in the Turkey Bowl, I put a little info on my blog: pittsburghercj.blogspot.com

What is this about the Bunpei being a kitty kat??? I'm in, alllll innnn

Cutey,

I know what you mean about Meri's artwork. When my 12 year old nephew was over for Ninjafest 3, I showed him the masks she created for Magicarade. He said WOW! and was really impressed. Any of you who know any 12 year old boys know how hard they are to impress :-) He liked the red series the best.

Pittsburgher wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 19:38

Wow, you guys have been chatty :-)

I think the best way to get the Bunpei to be a cat would be to get some adorable little child to ask him to do it. He wouldn't be able to resist that. All of the all-stars seem to have a real soft spot for children. Other thoughts?

03-Dec-2008 - 16:52

Hey, all. Just got out of class. Where is everyone today?

03-Dec-2008 - 14:39

I gotta go to class now. Bbl.

03-Dec-2008 - 13:07

Those cafes sound weird. I can picture Shingo and Takeda doing this stuff, and maybe Nagano. Akiyama seems pretty shy, though. He doesn't seem to like being the center of attention. He'd probably go hide in a corner. I definitely can't picture Bunpei doing that stuff. He seems too dignified. And Yamada, well, I don't know about him. Somehow I can't picture him doing that stuff either. I can picture him giving the other All-Stars a strange look that says, "Why are you guys doing this?"

03-Dec-2008 - 13:04

Good morning, everyone! What's up?

Arsenette wrote:

cuteyhoney wrote:

Arsenette wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 4:04

Buzz you still need to get Sasuke Spray and give it to Yamada.. I have to see the look on his face

TBuzzsaw wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 4:00

That's too bad. I guess I'm on my own when I meet them.

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:59

Hey Buzz, sorry, I don't keep in touch with them anymore.

snowy wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:56

I can totally see Takeda playing along. He'd have a LOT of fun with it.

TBuzzsaw wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:54

Shingo on the other hand, would jump right in and do something crazy I think, lol.

Cutey, I'm crossing my fingers hoping you can be the one to introduce me to the all-stars at the festival next April.

Arsenette wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:53

Doh.. I'll sleep on it Cutey Hmm.. describe what you have to do.. him just act like a kitty?

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:53

Misplaced my tuition payment forms for the kids? Now why would someone do that? Sigh. Have to call and get new ones.

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:50

Buzz, we're not going there on this site. C'mon everybody whose left, let's plot out to do get Bunpei to do kitty-cat... We need as many brains for this as possible.

Arsenette wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:46

I can assume you can find anything in Tokyo if you look hard enough.. Oh Cutey.. the fantasies of seeing the all-stars participating in such events is a whole topic onto itself LOL And yeah.. Bunpei would need to be totally hammered to do anything.. he'd be present but sitting in a corner covering his eyes going "omg what did these crazy people get me into?"

TBuzzsaw wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:43

I heard maid cafes are tame compared to some other places where the waitresses pretend to be your little sister or even your mom.

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:41

imagine allstars at maid cafe: nagano, takeda and shingo would be good sports and make love to their lunch as requested. akiyama would totally be the star, he's very cutesy. but shiratori, would give anything to see him do that cat pose. may need stronger potion than alcohol for that.

snowy wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:41

Hmmm, in the right kind of mood with the right people with me...maybe. But alone? Nope, ain't enough liquor in the world

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:39

I should have been more specific. you have to make wishes on your spaghetti. yeah, only with a friend.

pamwax wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:36

I would talk to my pizza but not sure I could have a conversation with spaghetti.

Arsenette wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:33

Maybe if I managed to get myself tanked I might talk to spagetti.. but I'm not entirely sure I can do it while sober.. some things are just way too wierd.. even with Anime.. If I can't understand wtf is going on in the first 10 minutes.. I switch to something else.. and I'm not talking about plotwise LOL

pamwax wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:33

I don't know if I will ever make it to Japan but it would be fun for everyone to meet there.

I am hoping for Muscle Musical in Vegas...more realistic goal for me.

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:31

my friend supurna had to talk to her spaghetti and she did it. she's the most straight-laced person and we had a riot.

cuteyhoney wrote:

i suspect at some places, there are so many watchers, it's making the real otaku stay away.

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:29

it's the experience. half the people there are watchers like us. in fact, we were all otaku tourists waiting for the real guys to show up. they finally did.

Arsenette wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:29

Might be fun to go with friends where everyone can share in the bewilderment.. LOL I can't possibly do this alone! First of course I have to afford going .. so I'll live vicariously through you guys.

TBuzzsaw wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:26

Elsie, I definately recommend going at least once, just for how crazy and weird it is. At least I didn't pay to play rock paper scissors with them like some people.

snowy wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:25

wha....blowing kisses to orange juice? That's just wrong.

Arsenette wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:18

LOL You have me as this uber fanchick there Cutey I'm bad but I don't blow kisses to orange juice.. wait.. she made HIM do it.. mwahahhahahaha That makes me a .. sadist.. correct?

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:17

Finished my story. send it off to meri for factual errors. definitely one of my favorites of this year.

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:16

Yeah! Buzz. LMAO. I had to do that too!!! weird stuff. Just love to go with Elsie though. She'd be like, ohh, teach me that, one more time.

Arsenette wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:15

wtf.... LMAO

TBuzzsaw wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:12

I was expecting something else, lol. Everyone was singing along and making hand jestures while I sat there looking like an idiot. I had no idea what was going on. I took a picture with a maid though. She made me pose like a cat.

Oh and I had to blow a kiss to my orange juice.

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:08

Buzz, you were all out of place at a maid cafe because you wanted more action correct? (BTW, that is much healthier!)

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 3:05

shin (new) tai (body) and do is way. There is a wiki entry but it's really wrong and out of funk. With the number of american practitioners, you'd think they'd sort it out... Shintaido has roots in shotokai karate, Egami Shigeru specifically. I don't know your kind of karate. Frankly, I'm not that knowledgeable.

snowy wrote:

'night, Tiger. See you tomorrow. I'm in and out doing kitchen cleanup.

03-Dec-2008 - 3:03

OK, I'm heading off for the night. Going to go watch Sasuke #10. Good night, all. Pleasant Sasuke dreams. See y'all tomorrow.

03-Dec-2008 - 3:01

Cutey, that video is neat. Do you know what that first kata is called? It has some similarities to Tokumeini no kun. Hope I spelled that right. I liked the bo-bo kumite, too. Shintaido. Do means "way," correct? So what does shintai mean?

Arsenette wrote:

snowy wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 2:56

I think I'll have to stay out of maid cafes. It'd be too tempting to smack somebody and yell, "grow up, willya?" It's hard enough not to do that a work some days
Recipes are up. I don't often do that much recreational typing *shakes cramps out of hands*

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 2:53

I'm too lazy to be otaku, I also tend to jump from one thing to another quickly. Pam, you are kind of borderline... Holly more so. Give her our best wishes okay Pam. I have a friend who created video software, quit work to when she had kids. But when she bakes, she has to experiment and fine-tune her shortbread recipes meticulous. We call her otaku.

TBuzzsaw wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 2:51

Maid cafes aren't sexual Tiger. It feels like you're playing make believe as a six year old kid. You play board games, sing and dance, and other kiddie stuff. I was so confused and out of place there.

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 2:50

Tiger, can you link to this. It's called shintaido. There are three videos. This one with sticks is my favorite. Hubbie is not in this one. The afore mentioned best friend is the first guy performing a stick kata. They and my husband are in a English book called Total Stick Fighting, currently out of print though.

I guess I must be an otaku since I tend to become obsessive about my hobbies.

cuteyhoney wrote:

Hooters run by nerds! Love it Buzz. I think most Japanese men would run off and hide at the cleavage at Hooters. Too much women, too less girl for them.

Arsenette wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 2:46

Okay.. I get it. He still thinks it's a dirisive term LOL ... oh.. I want to see the diagrams.. drat.. I am an otaku LOL.

03-Dec-2008 - 2:45

I definitely will not be going to one of those cafes. Cutey, what katas does he draw?

03-Dec-2008 - 2:44

Cutey, I love martial arts. I've been doing Isshinryu karate and Half-Circle jujitsu for nearly three years. I was recently promoted to ik-kyu. The next promotion will probably be sometime next spring and that will be sho-dan. Hope I spelled those right. What martial arts does your husband like?

cuteyhoney wrote:
03-Dec-2008 - 2:44

He's best friend who is just as into martial arts is usually not considered an otaku because he's not so into the details. But they both are high level instructors. Hiroshi has disdain for the otaku who doesn't actually practice but only argues theories.

TBuzzsaw wrote:

You got so much to learn about the strange side of Japan Tiger, lol.

I always compare maid cafes to Hooters, if it were run by nerds.
