Prayer of Thanksgiving for Women after Recovery from Childbirth

I love the Lord, for He hears my voice, my pleas, for He turns His ear to me whenever I call. The bonds of death encompassed me; the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.

Then I called on the name of the Lord: "Lord, I pray, save my life."

Gracious is the Lord and righteous; our G-d is full of compassion. The Lord protects the simple-hearted; when I was brought low, He saved me.

My soul, be at peace once more, for the Lord has been good to you. For you have rescued me from death, my eyes from weeping, my feet from stumbling. I shall walk in the presence of the Lord in the land of the living.

How can I repay the Lord for all His goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. To You I shall bring a thanks-offering and call on the Lord by name. I will fulfil my vows to the Lord in the presence of all His people, in the courts of the House of the Lord, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Halleluyah.

Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the Universe, who bestows good things on the unworthy, who has bestowed on me much good.
