Traidmark.org Trade Profiting Evenyone Through Institutional Innovation

Traidmark.org is a FREE business structure that enables you to gain from hard work (performance pay) while adding value to any enterprise by funding innovation and running your enterprise as a Not For Profit or For Profit organisation that invests any surplus funds (or 100% net profit in the case of the for profit organisatioin). enterprise + philanthropy + coop = http://www.Traidmark.org = institutional innovation for gov org nfp or capitalism

Make FREE Government Public Service in minutes. FREETraid.org helps

Create your own FREE Government Public Service in minutes and share it with the rest of the world so anyone else can collaborate with you to help improve our global society. Any individual or organization can do this while also saving money and donating to charity using empty space. You could call this opengov or bigsociety but the aim is to help anyone easily solve local problems locally. http://whymandesign.posterous.com has more details and more are at the base.

http://www.FREETraid.org helps using the http://www.TRAIDmark.org business model and http://wwww.UGCunion.org have other examples.

These 3 steps can be done in minutes and are all you need to get started...

1. Think of.. A. Clever new public service, B. Clever way to reinvent any existing public service C. Problem that you dont know the solution to.
2. Search online to see if it exists anywhere on the planet. (if so contact them and ask/suggest how you can help)
3. Create your own free community site using software with a facebook page and twitter account eg http://www.WEBiversity.org
4. Do anything else that you think is suitable and share your experiences at http://wwww.UGCunion.org

We are looking to work with individuals, companies and charities to help enhance their work AND work on these charitable activities? Do tell us how you can/not help and why @whymandesign http://wwww.WHYmandesign.com. Do you know a programmer that we can work with to make a Drupal site that enables anyone to set up their own charitable activity instantly? We are also looking for a mobile programmer too...  http://pledgie.com/campaigns/7538

We use the Charitable business structure called http://www.TRAIDmark.org. It enables you to gain from hard work (performance pay) while adding value to any enterprise by funding innovation and running your enterprise as a Not For Profit or For Profit organisation that invests any surplus funds (or 100% net profit in the case of the for profit organisatioin). social enterprise + philanthropy + coop = http://www.Traidmark.org = institutional innovation for gov org nfp or capitalism.

Here is a list of FREE community projects (government public services?) we would like to work with you on. Choose one you can help with and get involved by joining the website and facebook group and commenting there. If you can not see a project you like propose a project to work on at http://wwww.UGCunion.org and on the facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7940249916 (of course we will give you free gifts when we meet you just because the more you give the more you get:)

A. Displaying art free in your space... http://www.MUSTart.org Facebook http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=68523314201 Do you have am empty wall or space (entrance foyer...) that we can use to display art for free that will benefit the local community? If so contact @whymandesign.We have been hard at work with a national charity who have 50 empty uk  shops we are using to create TRUSTlibrary.org in and putting free  artworks in the windows with MUSTart.org. artwork examples are http://www.gilbertywhyman.com

B. Raising funds for charity in empty space... http://www.TRUSTlibrary.org Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=348867089849 Would it be possible to save you money while your property is empty by using it for charity activities (that save you having to pay rates on the empty building?). If you know someone who does tweet @whymandesign. Can we help you save money by creating a charity art gallery in your empty shops. You will save your self from having to pay 100% of the business rates by doing this and all we ask in return is for you to donate 50% or more of the savings to us so we can continue to recycle and give away unwanted books and make recycled art for the public.

C. Collaborate on creating charity jobs... http://www.FREEtraid.org Facebook Group http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=45131776517&v=wall We are looking to work with other people who are interested in innovatively solving charitable problems in clever ways that also creates jobs for unemployed people in a self sustaining way. FREEtraid.org is one example. Contact @whymandesign if interested.

Help others and accidentally help yourself too with this Gift Economy. Give items away and record it on the map. List your need then swap knowledge on how to make the most of each other. Meet like minded people near you on the map or add your location and create your own community meetup then find others in your area to share your experience with. 1. Find a location 2. Print off poster and put up there 3. Register the location and what you want to do (list what items/skills you have) 4. Go round your neighborhood posting notes through doors about your project (ask for help and collaboration). 5. Raise funds by collecting donations 6. Set up a community cafe to raise funds by giving away free drinks in exchange for donations 7. Create a trust library (MUSTart.org have more details)

Save Money using your Empty Space while also collecting donations for charity. We can help you use your Empty Shops, Land and office space while saving you money and generating sustainable income for charitable organisations. Save yourself money by letting us use empty shop space or property for charitable activities while also enabling us to raise funds for charity while also enhancing local communities with safe community projects. Do you have an empty space that we can use? If so contact @whymandesign directly.

This has been successfully done in hundreds of empty spaces across the UK and we are looking for more landowners to work with where everyone benefits. We have won an award from http://www.unltd.org.uk and are looking for other partners to collaborate with on helping others using recycled items.

This is one example of a charitable activity we use the empty spaces for using recycled books...

Get and Give FREE BOOKS and Make Your Own Trust Library in Minutes plus share the locations of Trust Libraries on our map so anyone can find and use them.

1. Want a FREE book to read, review then give away? Donate to TRUSTlibrary.org (so we can recycle books from Charity Shops to give away for free to others) and we will give you free books. Join us in the Gift economy where everyone wins.

2. Have you ever seen a few books left for anyone to take in a bar or waiting room? Share the location on our map so that everyone can use that Trust Library. Search for your local Trust Library here and make your own.

3. Help hundreds of people in minutes by getting the DIY Trust Library pack and volunteering or building your own.

4. Enhance any building by requesting we install a FREE Trust Library. Every School, Hospital, Hall and Shop could have one. If you want a Trust Library in your community ask us to send your community leader free books by donating. Lets work together to create, record and share where to find free books so that anyone can FIND the Trust Libraries and then give and get FREE books.

Also review any books you find at Trust Libraries so others know which books to read/ignore. Ask us to set up a FREE Book sharing Trust Library or donate and get a book sent to a friend of your choice. Take, read then review your book at TRUSTlibrary.org and importantly give it away. (Do tell Us if you enjoyed the book & donate online:). It is also important to record where the Trust Libraries are so that it is harder of them to be unintentionally disposed of by unaware individuals so we have created signs to label them.

How best to #empower #everyone to #help #gov help us all help each other?! #creativity?

There is a discussion on the best organisational structure to enable this to happen most effectively (e.g. http://www.TRAIDmark.org)...
http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=21&post=321&uid=113620708652863#post321

Most people are aware that...
1. Big Society has been going on all the time with volunteers, coop's... but how gov empowers and open mindedly manages this will be the difference between mediocrity or outcomes that exceed expectations.
2. The internet has enabled everyone to be linked to everyone for the first time ever so is a once in a life/time opportunity to empower everyone to help everyone. Below are some suggestions on how to empower everyone in efficient ways that may help. It would be great to work with you on constructive ways to do this such as creating a Drupal working version of the http://www.WEBiversity.org prototype.

Creativity exceeding expectations
The creative mind can imagine almost infinite possibilities. The key then is how to support and encourage everyone so they can be more creative and get selflessly rewarded for being creative FOR THE GREATER GOOD by sharing everyones ideas in an open source way while also enabling those that create to support themselves and use profits to create more innovation for the common good.

There are two stages that are equally important...

Stage 1. What you do... Making sure we are working in the right DIRECTION, to help the MOST gain the most happiness.
Help everyone (not just a select few otherwise you are limiting your options) to concentrate on the most important issues (rather than solving issues that either do not need to be solved or have already been solved).

http://www.WEBiversity.org is a prototype way of doing this. Do help us create an open source Drupal version so Everyone can solve Every problem together.

http://www.TRUSTlibrary.org is a self sustaining way to create real world locations where everyone can meet to solve any problem together using their imagination. Please help by making your own Trust Library free and sharing its location on the site.

Stage 2. How you do it...Making sure we are going at the right SPEED, to hellp everyone be happy WHILE we we achieve this.

Make the way creative are supported in a self sustaining way that continues to create more innovation so that people/organisations do NOT become victims of their own success by combating the Peter principle.

http://www.TRAIDmark.org is a way of doing this that rewards creativity by enabling creatives to go on to make more and more NEW innovative charitable projects as a reward for success (which is a good motivator for selfless people:).

The big question is how much creative ideas are out there to be thought of and then worked on
AND
How is the best way to use the ideas to help the most people get the greatest benefit from it.

Open Source has proven that sharing ideas/software by giving it away can help everyone on this planet so the key is to work on a way to empower and encourage everyone to creatively innovate while giving away what they produce to the world so we all gain the most from everyone else's work.

Collaboration enables everyone to share what they are doing which means we can duplicate/share infinately everyones work on the web while also stopping wasteful duplication/repetition from people who compete (which means R&D spend wont be wasted on doing the same work over and over again).

Please add comments to the relevant sites as there points/projects are far more important than any individual/group and need to be taken up by forward thinking positive people like you? To not contribute would be to let others miss out on your view which is a loss for everyone.

http://www.TRAIDmark.org/ explains the full benefits of using net profit to invest in new innovative charitable work. Please comment on that facebook page linking to it from here so anyone following that group will not miss out.

Traidmark.org = Not / For Profit + Social Enterprise Innovation Germinater

Edit Post Edit
0 Comments - Add comment Written on 17-Sep-2009 by WhymanDesign

Traidmark.org enables you to gain from hard work (performance pay) while adding value to any enterprise by funding innovation and running your enterprise as a Not For Profit or For Profit organisation that invests any surplus funds (or 100% net profit in the case of the for profit organisatioin).

This is how it works.
The organisation invests surplus profit in NEW Innovative enterprise (which helps make that organisation continually evolve because of this structure) which creates better services through institutional innovation. Everyone who works hard can still get financially rewarded through performance pay but there is a goodwill boost as everyone knows the organisation is solving human problems in the most efficient way possible by using innovation.

This adds significant customer loyalty and enables hard work to be rewarded through pay while investing in innovative solutions to social problems.

Anyone can implement the Traidmark business model. This is because any surplus created can be invested in innovative social enterprise which makes it a lot easier to 'do good'.

So Traidmark is promoting the benefits of creating and running Not for profits that importantly invest any surplus cash in NEW innovative social enterprise not for profits. This enables good work to continually evolve and fund even more innovative work that is more efficient.

Video explanation of the benefits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp4xiNqWGe8

Traidmark.org Explained in more detail (everyone wins and enterprise gets rewarded with performance pay)

Edit Post Edit
0 Comments - Add comment Written on 02-Jul-2009 by WhymanDesign
The Traidmark brand aims to reward companies that donate profits to charity (measured in percentages of Net profit). We provide the logos on this website. All you have to do is copy the relevant logo and use it to help boost trade.

Traidmark.org has two key aims

1.
Reward organisations that donate net profits to good causes while making the exact percentage donated clear to consumers so they can make informed purchasing choices.

2.
Traidmark promotes a proven business structure that was created as a way for companies to benefit (by gaining goodwill akin to that gained by Wikipedia) from funding innovation with up to 100% net profits. It can be used by Government, charities, start-ups or blue chip companies.

Traidmark.org...
1 Creates funds for innovative charity/NFPO's
2 Makes charity/NFPO's more 'efficient' (by financing the most 'efficint/effective' ones
3 Boosts any companies success rate with a large rise in valueable goodwill.
4 Increases your companies productivity (due to workers increased motivation due to believe in the organisations outcomes)
5 Enables people who created your project to get rewarded financially though performance pay.

Everyone has many identical competitors and this in one pivotal way to
create a USP that will enable you to beat them. If so I would love to
work with you to enhance your business.

I would like to propose a way
to create an additional USP that will benefit* your company by creating
the cumulative mass needed to make your business a success by donating
100% of your companies Net profit to innovative charitable work.

*Increased goodwill with the financial benefits that lead to rapid
growth which causes a rapid increase in profit which leads to an
increase in performance related pay for all involved.

This would create a USP that your competitors will not be able to
compete against allowing you to grow rapidly taking market share as you
gain consumer goodwill. This will allow hard work to be rewarded with
performance related pay.

The open source community will still be able to develop your software
which will dramatically increase the speed of the softwares development.

This business structure will enable your organisation to evolve and work
within a more philanthropic structure while gaining goodwill from
customers/workers/suppliers by clearly explaining their NET donation
percentages.

Q&A

How will I make my millions if I implement this structure?
Hard work and innovation by founders and employees will be rewarded with
performance pay relating to the growth of the company so hard work is
still rewarded. This could be expanded to reward members of the open
source community too.

How will the company survive hard times?
The Net profit can be invested and then donated up to a couple of years
after it has been generated in order secure the companies financial
stability.

How will the company pay for R&D?
The net profit is profit after the company has spent on R&D so still
allows progressive business development.

What other effects will there be?
Workers will be more careful about how they spend the money knowing that
it is being taken away from the end good cause rather than from a
shareholders dividend, which will make the organisation more efficient.
Many benefits will be created from customers / suppliers / partners /
stakeholders / workers that will silently boost the business.

This would...

1 create funds for charity
2 make charity more 'efficient'
3 boost your companies success rate with added goodwill
4 enable people who created your project to get rewarded financially
though performance pay while creating an organisation that is able to
provide a platform for goodwill collaboration where everyone is rewarded
for their hard/clever work knowing that all benefits go towards 'good
causes':)

We would be happy to explain any more details as and when needed.

Big Long Tail of Innovation and how Traidmark funds creative experiments

Edit Post Edit
0 Comments - Add comment Written on 27-Apr-2009 by WhymanDesign

How
can we modify structures to maximise the long tail of innovation. How
could it best be facilitated so everyone can contribute without
comments being lots in the depths of the web? It seams that there is SO
much potential for government and the public to achieve using new
media. The key appears to be how to communicate this potential and
empower everyone to take that step down the rabbit hole of independent
innovation and collaboration at everyones own grass roots (though this
has been done outside of new tech since just after the beginning of
time:). Is there a way to reward individuals to take risks by trying
new things and fail/succeed? The dot com approach of rewarding
successful innovation by buying it out appears to work for successful
innovation. How best to reward innovators that try things that fail is
unclear. It may be best to enable lots of innovators to innovate
without rewarding success so that peer review enables success to be
rewarded socially while larger volumes or innovation can be facilitated
by funding lots of people with smaller amounts. The
http://www.Traidmark.org business structure aims to illustrate how this
can be done by funding innovators to create products within a not for
profit that then invests any surplus funds in other innovators who are

How to create a self funding organisation that solves human problems.

It would be great to hear about existing projects and way to create self sustaining organisations that use innovation to solve human problems.

Am working on a self sustaining enterprise that aims to provide the platform to empower young people to 'do good'. Would be great to chat more. Working site at www.FREEtraid.org but can message full details. We have a business structure that donates 100% net profit to invest in youth projects (ala Traidmark.org) and are looking for funding and partners with locations we can use. edwhyman at google mail

If you have the funding, possibly you can partner with the University of KwaZulu-Natal's Science & Technology Innovation Park(STIP),web http:stip.ukzn.ac.za

Please let me know what type of projects you have.
Thanks

The ideal situation would be to have an innovative product funded and marketed successfully, with all profits used to fund science for humanity ventures. This would achieve productivety in the richer Nations and funding would follow, the trick is getting the development funds in the first instance.
Taking this forward would need a secret millionaire to kickstart it, but alas there are very few willing to donate...Unless you are one reading this? In case you ask, an innovative product could be found in the patent office files there are plenty which may never see the light of day due to lack of initial development funding.

Pravesh and Allan

Thanks for the great information:)

We are working on a self funding cafe format that anyone can set up (with a basic cover site at ) http://openspacecafe.ning.com

Also check out http://www.traidmark.org which explains the benefit of donating net profit to fund future innovation:)

Hi Ed

Great idea and something I've always been interested in. I did a quick poll of a group I was talking to ages ago to gage public reaction to a company that charged a little more (few %) that the competition but donated more/all profit to charity or supported community projects etc. I was disappointed when most said they wouldn't support an organisation like that - they would prefer to donate, rather than be charge more etc. That was only a small test group, but I would think that if a product is good quality and roughly priced at market value then people will support it. I have helped design products so would be interested in helping.

I was interested in starting a software organisation staffed by volunteers to code software similar to OpenOffice and other common main stream applications. I like what the Natural History Museum are doing at the moment with simple science kits. I even bought a scale model of the ear for my research!

I was impressed by Kiva ( www.kiva.org ) that help people provde short term loans to people in developing countries. This highlights peoples desire to help as there are not enough entrepreneurs to meet the demand from lenders!

Hi Richard

What you are doing sounds great. Check out brightone.org as they would be good partners. I also would love to work with other tech volunteers to solve social problems innovatively and cheeply then generate income that can be used to fund even more innovation which is the aim of the Traidmark.org business structure. The aim is to have cheeper products (through innovation) that also donate 100% net profit to charity so the consumer gets cheeper goods and also knows where the profits are going:)

This may be of interest (and will be a great way to meet some clever
tech guys who made SuperCoolSchool:)

I am running a 'class'/discussion about the Traidmark.org business
structure that you saw me present a while back and thought you might
want to interact with it online here
http://startup.supercoolschool.com/classes/432 (FRIDAY 29.05.09 13.30 GMT)

I am hoping to persuade the supercoolschool creators to donate 100% net
profit from Supercoolschool to fund innovation that solves social problems.

I am currently using this business model to set up
http://openspacecafe.ning.com/ which aims to generate profit from
cafe/restaurant sales to invest in innovation.

do join the Traidmark.org group for updates and add comments there so EVERYONE can see them without having to log in (open everything:)

Make yourself happy and content by giving. Please share your experience of making yourself happy by giving (takes 5 mins and will help someone else)...

Is pain and suffering almost always caused by selfish minds? It appears so.

That appears to be one main cause of suffering as many people think they are going without so take from others.Take a look at any selfish or 'evil'/'bad' person. They are always selfish and dont realise that they could give others happiness if they took time to step back and look at their life. Instead they think there is no time to look at their life (takes 5 minutes) so miss the chance to make their life happy and content.

I keep forgetting to appreciate what i have and keep getting wound up by life's little problems based around things like my Career.
All of these anxieties come from comparing myself to others so it is inevitable that i am unhappy at least 50% of the time as i (and everyone else) expects to be getting at least above average out of life if not to at least 90%! (meaning i am unhappy 90% of the time!!!).

Several different people suggested going for a walk whenever I feel bad (which works amazingly) and also to look on life not as a task but as a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to see how many other people we can help and make happy. After all if you make someone else happy it makes you feel good so that can only be good. One other way is to look back at the simple things in life that I HAVE rather than look forward at the things i think i want. When i forget to appreciate these things i look up a video of someone who does not have one of these or try to find someone in the street who is missing one of these and try to help them a little. Below is a list of these things (if you cant do one move on to the next please)...

I can Breathe (breath in and out 10 times slowly concentrating on the air flowing into and out of your lounges) [hold your breath for a bit]
I can Touch (move one part of your body very slowly and concentrate on the sense) [sit still then move a tiny part of your body]
I can See (look at one small object or your hand and enjoy being able to see this) [close then open your eyes]
I can Hear (close your eyes and listen to the quietest sounds and enjoy them) [put your fingers in your ears;p]
I can Smell (breath in slowly through your nose and see what you can smell) [breath in through your mouth then nose]
I can Taste (What does your mouth taste like, the air or your skin?) [Eat something tasty]
I can Give (find someone who needs something and give it to them...Hug, Kiss...) [Dont forget to give yourself something too by hugging others]

Do you know any other ways to remind yourself to control your EGO so you stop thinking about yourself and concentrate on helping others who are  less (and more) fortunate than you are? Please share this information and any other ways to enjoy life (no matter how obvious) to http://www.FREEHUG.org

We are also looking for people to collaborate on this project. Are you interested?

Books that give lots of great advice on this are listed below as are lots of GREAT TED talks which explain about the benefits of selflessness (it makes YOU happy:) plus lots of free books can be downloaded from Project Gutenberg htt://www.gutenberg.org/

How

can we modify structures to maximise the long tail of innovation. How

could it best be facilitated so everyone can contribute without

comments being lots in the depths of the web?

Using People Power to improve the world and save everyone money.
Add your location, community/group and skill then find others in your area to work with on community projects.

1. Create or find collaborations or an Idea/problem
2. List it on the site and guesstimate its value (financial and socially beneficial...)
3. Register the location that will benefit and what you want/need to do (list what items/skills are needed)
4. Go round your neighborhood posting notes through doors about your project (ask for help and collaboration).
5. Raise funds by collecting donations
6. Set up a community cafe to raise funds by giving away free drinks in exchange for donations for the project (http://www.BARcampBAR.org)
7. Create a collaboration hub (http://www.FREEtraid.org have more details)

Example of one project is below (another is attached)......................

Problems to Progress

Here are a few problems that will need to be solved to help progress.

1.
Duplication and confusion slow down learning/development/innovation/progress and can make progress reverse as individuals go off in the 'wrong' direction. For example if there are two sites doing the same thing then that splits the user/customer/supplier communities into two making the collaboration and partnership potential halved while enabling people to duplicate the same work.

How can this be solved?...

One way is to concentrate or rank organisations that are doing the 'most' good above others. So not for profit organisations that are efficient should be ranked higher than commercial organisations. So a not for profit search engine is a good start. https://www.anoox.com is one example.

2.
And finding content that you can reuse and remix is equally important. http://search.creativecommons.org and http://www.jamendo.com are two examples.

If you know of a better way to solve this please add it to http://www.UGCunion.org

3.
The same goes for any form of assessment from exams to job applications.
Assessment is also a key area that needs to be looked at. How can assessment and feedback be collected in a scientific manner that does not neglect the unknown and unquantifiable?

4.
Centralised networks and organisations will fall down if the central core is disrupted. It is therefore imperative that networks and organisations are restructures to be decentralise and community based so that they can not entirely collapse. This also fosters collaboration and evolution which dramatically enhance innovation and progress for the benefit of everyone. http://yacy.net/ is one example of decentralised web search.

Consumer habits continue to change with web usage creating new opportunities for even better customer service and ethical trading. One key problem is how web usability is still not accessible for novices and often is infuriatingly restrictive for all users due to a lack of careful usability design. If only those websites were aware of the loss of trade caused by this lack of usability they would instantly improve their service. Over time this will happen and we are interested in assisting and measuring how this process of change occurs.

This nice games is one example of how things many people take for granted need to be taught in a clear educational manner to certain types of learners.

http://www.getonlineday.com/challengegame/index.html

Which leads on to the government service called http://www.myguide.gov.uk which illustrates many more.

Once on the web the first big choice users face is, 'Which service do I use' when there are so many similar offers?

Most users learn from their peers choosing the fastest services that are easiest to use. Then they choose to use ethical products/services provided by Not For Profit and Social Enterprise organisations which are nicely listed on websites such as http://www.idealist.org and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-profit_organization.

Where will the usability developments go with the new platform of the mobile web?

Then they choose to use ethical products/services provided by Not For Profit and Social Enterprise organisations which are nicely listed on websites such as http://www.idealist.org and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-profit_organization.

Where will the usability developments go with the new platform of the mobile web?
