Hello, I’m Paula Stubbings the Children’s Centre Co-ordinator at your local Sure Start Children’s Centre at Pine Ridge Infant School, Esher Road.
What’s a Children’s Centre?
It provides a friendly place where families with children aged 0-5 years can go for advice and support.
As a parent or carer, you may be looking for a childminder or a nursery place for your child. You may want to find out about Early Years education or want information about support available for a child with special needs. Perhaps there are health or other issues you need to discuss. Or you may be thinking about training or returning to work.
The Children’s Centre is here to offer information, advice and support to parents and carers.
What’s happening at Pine Ridge Children’s Centre?
We have a Baby Clinic here every Tuesday, run by Health Visitors and an ESOL group (English Speakers of Other Languages) which supports parents learning English. We plan to run Play and Learn sessions for parents and carers and their children aged under 5 years.
What can you do?
I need you to tell me what you’d like at your Children’s Centre. We would like to know what other services you would like to see at the Centre. It can be anything that supports you as a parent!
Please feel free to pop into the centre or stop me when you next see me.

Parentalk - www.parentalk.co.uk
In the words of their founder; Steve Chalk OBE:
"I used to have 4 theories on child-rearing and no kids. Now I have four kids and no theories!
If, like me you're a parent, I'm sure you've sometimes felt the same way - whatever age our children are we've all got our L-plates firmly attached! Parentalk is all about inspiring and equipping parents to enjoy parenthood more. None of us are going to be perfect parents, but we can be successful ones."
