Fantasy Football Predictors » Gash Hunting Title

Trigger's hopes of a first ever Webjam Championship received a boost during the autumn period as the Gash Hunters moved clear in the Webjam Championship. However, last year's winner Mitchell has enjoyed much improved fortunes of late meaning the race for the title is far from over. Boozehound and Rape Eye remain in contention but with those two involved in more drunken post match antics recently, it is doubtful that any challenge can be maintained. Mitchell's forthcoming trip down under could undermine his hopes as the bookies pin short odds on Trig to hold his lead.

At the other end of the table, Coy after winning his appeal to be reinstated to the tournament has faltered badly and is now playing for pride although this does not come as much of a surprise following a series of bizarre transfers which has culminated in an early wild card being thrown in desperation. A series of long, boring Saturday afternoons in front of Sky Sports News has not had its desired effect on the drab Keyworth man.

The less said about PL and Glen the better whom face a battle with each other to avoid the wooden spoon. Maybe a weekend away from the Woman and the kids can breath new life into PL's Famous Punts.

After a long and painful summer which featured yet another England world cup catastrophe, the Webjam Championship is back with a bang. Last year’s champion Chris Mitchell has got off to a very disappointing start to the season languishing in mid table. The Wise Owl pinpoints injuries and a loss of form to key players as the reason for this but unless a marked improvement is made and quick, that wild card will have to be used shortly.

Trigger leads the way courtesy of a flying start in the Texaco league whilst Boozehound has managed to stay clear of the booze enough to be a close second as the nights begin to draw in for winter time.

If few predicted Mitchell’s slow start to the season there can be no surprise at who props up the table after the first few weeks. PL has made yet another woeful start and despite promising to be more active in the transfer market and on the training ground he appears to be a wise ‘punt’ for relegation. Although the challenge of fatherhood is bound to have an impact many have called for the board of directors to bring in a director of football to ease some of the burden on the Pinnacle Lad. Rumours this week that the woman is favourite for this role have been branded as utter fabrication by PL who is adamant his boys will kick on in the coming weeks.

On a side note the Webjam Championship Fantasy Football committee have streamlined this year’s competition to 8 teams meaning some culls have had to be made over the summer. Deano and Gerb have been jettisoned due to not entering a team into the Texaco league whilst Dave Cather has been excluded on the grounds that this competition is strictly a Forest season ticket holder only league and a minimum of 23 games must be attended this season in order for anybody to be considered for next season’s tournament.
