Forest will be hoping to build on the victory at Carlisle on Saturday as Cheltenham make only their second ever visit to the City Ground. Cheltenham have been good opponents for Forest in the last two years with Forest recording three victories in the three matches whilst scoring 8 goals and yet to concede.
Forest will find a Cheltenham side unbeaten in five games, a run that has moved them away from the relegation zone and now stand five points from danger. Cheltenham should not be underestimated as included in the run has been victories over Leyton Orient and at Leeds, a game that completed a double against the Yorkshire side after an earlier season victory at Whaddon Road.
Cheltenham are managed by former Wolves midfielder Keith Downing who gained promotion to the hot seat when John Ward moved to Carlisle at the start of the season. Downing had previously been a coach during Ward’s reign in charge and had helped Ward guide the club to their highest league position in their history last season.

There is a Forest connection within the Cheltenham squad with Craig Armstrong (pictured right) rejoining the Robins after an unsuccessful spell at Gillingham. Also involved will be Alan Wright who will be hoping for an improvement to his last appearance at the City Ground during last season’s play offs. Also at the club but out injured for the rest of the season is club captain John Finnigan who started his career at Forest but left without making a first team appearance.
