In recent weeks, Billy Davies has further bolstered his options for the new season with additional signings taking the total number to nine.

Following the aquisitions of Dele Adebola, David McGoldrick and Paul Anderson, the Reds have captured several other targets including many of those who joined on loan at the tail end of the last season.

Paul McKenna, Chris Gunter, Lee Camp, Joel Lynch and Dexter Blackstock have all signed on permanently along with Polish midfielder Radoslav Majewski who joins on a season long loan deal from Polonia Warsaw.

Other deals, notably one to bring Matt Mills from Doncaster, are continuing to be rumoured as Davies aims to restructure his squad. The dealings may not be at an end just yet with the season opener at Reading less than a fortnight away.
