Preston North End have rejected Nottingham Forest's £600,000 bid for midfielder Paul McKenna.

The 31-year-old worked under Billy Davies during his time at Deepdale but Preston Chairman Derek Shaw is far from impressed with the Reds' bid.

He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I can confirm that we have rejected two bids from Nottingham Forest for Paul McKenna.

"I am extremely disappointed that Nottingham Forest have chosen to make this public."

Forest continue to track a number of players including Dele Adebola, Joel Lynch, Paul Anderson and Dexter Blackstock.
