The 23-year-old, who was originally born in Sierra Leone but has German nationality, made three substitute appearances in the Bundesliga last season.
He played the second half during Forest’s 1-0 defeat to Sunderland on Wednesday night and is expected to be given an opportunity against Nottinghamshire rivals Notts County on Saturday.
