Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Paul Smith has signed a new two-year contract keeping him at The City Ground until 2010.

The 28-year-old stopper was an ever-present last season and kept 25 clean sheets earning him the PUMA Golden Glove award for the 2007/2008 season.

He told the club's official website: "I'm really looking forward to playing for the club in the Championship and had no hesitation in agreeing a new contract."

The former Brentford and Southampton man helped Forest to secure promotion last season and even scored his first goal for the club in the re-arranged League Cup fixture against Leicester City.
