Trentside News » Clubs move to dismiss Forest links.
Back to Home Written on 24-Jul-2008 by BoozehoundCrystal Palace and Coventry City have both moved quickly to dismiss reports linking Nottingham Forest with their star players.
Palace midfielder Ben Watson is allegedly a £2m target for the Reds and the Leon Best rumours have again re-surfaced following a failed attempt to land the striker for £1.2m in January.
Palace boss Neil Warnock told the South London Press: "I haven't heard anything about Forest. "I pulled him out last night (their 4-1 win against Bodmin) because we had a couple of enquiries yesterday from Birmingham and QPR again, so I didn't risk him." Sky Blues manager Chris Coleman has also insisted Best is not for sale ahead of the current campaign. He told BBC Radio Warwickshire: "He has got so much ability and Leon is certainly not someone that we are looking to sell, "We are looking to build a team with good players. Leon certainly fits into that, he has looked excellent in pre-season."
