Should Calderwood go, who (realistically) should replace him?
Nottingham Forest have drawn Manchester City away in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup sponsored by E-on.
The game will be played during the weekend beginning 3 January 2009.
The Reds will take on Mark Hughes' side with the likes of Shaun Wright-Phillips and Robinho strutting their stuff at Eastlands.
Let's hope City splash the cash in the January transfer window to see more World Class footballers taking on the Tricky Trees.
Four Nottingham Forest Youth Academy players have signed new deals at the City Ground.
Matt Thornhill, James Reid and Joe Heath have all signed contracts keeping them at the club until 2011. Adam Newbold has signed until 2010 with an option of a further year should both parties agree.
The club's never-ending conveyor belt of young talent has already seen the likes of Marlon Harewood, Michael Dawson, Jermaine Jenas and Andy Reid move onto Premiership and even International honours in the past.
Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood is on the brink of the sack according to the National newspapers today.
The Guardian believes former Derby County boss Billy Davies is being lined up to take over whereas The Daily Mail favours a return to football for Sam Allardyce.
With Forest rock bottom of the Championship and facing a crunch game against Barnsley on Saturday, only time will tell if Calderwood can keep hold of his job at The City Ground.

Written on 24-Nov-2008 by BoozehoundNottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood is looking to bring in Motherwell striker Chris Porter according to reports.
The 24-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, would be available in the January transfer window if he was keen on a move to Trentside.
Well boss Mark McGhee conceeds that if any reasonable bid comes in for any of his players then there's a good possibility they could leave Fir Park.
He said: "If any bid comes in for any player, we'll discuss it with them, and if they're determined to leave, they'll leave. If not, they'll stay."
David Pleat is believed to have travelled to Scotland to check out the former Oldham Athletic targetman but might not have been overly impressed with what he saw after they fell to a 4-1 defeat at home to Hibernian.
Sheffield United have also been linked with a £250,000 move for Porter and his striker partner John Sutton is also attracting attention from south of the border.
The loan market closes today but Calderwood told the Nottingham Evening Post: "I haven't thought about going into the transfer market today to bring anyone in."
Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood is lining up a swoop for Rangers midfielder Chris Burke according to the Scottish press.
The 24-year-old right winger is believed to have been watched by Forest's chief scout Keith Burt during Rangers' recent reserve match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Burke is out of contract at Ibrox this summer so it is thought a minimal fee could grab his services in January, however his £12,000 wages could be a stumbling block in a potential move to Trentside.
Nottingham Forest striker Emile Sinclair has extended his loan spell at Mansfield Town by a further month.
The 20-year-old, who netted for the Stags during their 3-0 win over Salisbury over the weekend, has delighted manager Billy McEwan during his loan spell which was due to run out this week.
He told the club's official website: "He's improving all the time and it's great that he's extended his loan spell with us,"

Written a day ago by TriggerIt was last chance saloon for Colin Calderwood as Barnsley visited the City Ground on Saturday.
With only victory likely to save his bacon the Reds boss went all out attack with Earnshaw, Tyson and Garner all named in the starting line up. There was also a surprise recall for Brendon Maloney who was plucked out of the Blue Square Premier where the young Irishman had been plying his trade with Rushden & Diamonds recently.
Forest started poorly as Barnsley dominated the early stages. The Tykes, boosted by some decent recent form should really have gone ahead before the half hour mark with Jon Macken guilty of wasting their best chance heading wide from close range after an excellent cross from the right. Jamal Campbell-Ryce forced Lee Camp into action with a powerful shot from 25 yards being beaten away by the Forest stopper.
Forest eventually improved and after being second best initially the Reds received a massive boost on around the 36 minute mark when Nathan Tyson produced a superb run and cross from the left to set up Joe Garner who registered his first home goal for the club.
Visibly boosted by the goal Forest ended the half on top and didn’t really want to hear the half time whistle. The Reds had valid shouts for a penalty turned down when Garner was flattened in the box but a 1-0 half time score line was as much as Forest deserved.
The second period started as the first had ended with Forest on top. Lewis McGugan produced two pieces of magic but first saw an Earnshaw effort blocked after setting the Welshman up before the promising midfielder sent a vicious curling shot onto the top of the crossbar with Heinz Muller left standing. Joel Lynch saw a long-range effort turned over as the Reds continued to push.
Having not managed a decisive second goal Forest began to sit back a little as Barnsley pushed. Brendon Maloney did brilliantly to deny Macken with a last ditch tackle whilst the Tykes twice went close in added time when first Stephen Foster headed over from close range before a long-range free kick from De Souza had Camp scampering.
In the end the Reds held on much to the relief of Calderwood and the majority of fans.
Although this performance barely merited a win many Forest fans will feel this makes up for some excellent performances earlier in the season for which reward was not forthcoming. A first ever trip to the Ricoh Arena (or the Bruce Rioch arena if your Robin Chipperfield) gives Forest the chance to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
Forest: Camp, Moloney, Morgan, Wilson, Lynch, McGugan, Perch, Anderson (Thornhill 82), Garner (Reid 90), Earnshaw (McCleary 75), Tyson.
MOM: Brendon Maloney - why on earth has Chambers been preferred all season?

Written 6 days ago by TriggerThe bottom two teams in the Championship met at the Keepmoat Stadium as Forest looked to atone for an appalling performance in losing to a poor Norwich side at the weekend.
Colin Calderwood was boosted by the return of Lewis McGugan from suspension but once again injuries hampered the Reds boss with Cohen and Thornhill the latest casualties.
Doncaster were first out of the blocks with Forest chasing shadows in the early stages in the midst of some excellent Rovers football. James Coppinger produced a brilliant first time effort from distance to leave Lee Camp a virtual spectator only to see his attempt cannon off the post and to safety. Reds defending appeared desperate at times but in fairness to Calderwood and his team they just about weathered the early storm.
After a shaky start Forest started to play. Joe Garner had a great chance but fired straight at Neil Sullivan whilst McGugan’s tame free kick was blocked by the wall after Nathan Tyson had been felled by a Rovers defender. Neil Sullivan was forced into a superb reflex save on the stroke of half time after Luke Chambers had done well to get on the end of a McGugan free kick.
Despite a promising first half showing the Reds once again failed to show up after the interval. A long range Tyson effort which many of the travelling contingent thought had sneaked in was about the best Forest could offer as fans again turned on Colin Calderwood.
Doncaster looked the most likely winners. It appeared as though the home team had snatched a late winner when a long-range Coppinger strike was spilled by Camp only for the officials to rule against the ball crossing the line. Substitute Stuart Elliott also did his best to embarrass Camp when a speculative 40 yard effort bounced narrowly over the cross bar with the Reds keeper’s heart in his mouth.
The full time whistle again brought a chorus of boos with Calderwood now rumoured to be on the brink of the sack.
After a poor, unimaginative second half performance a point was the most Forest deserved.
Forest: Camp, Chambers, Wilson, Morgan, Lynch, Anderson, Perch, McGugan (Byrne 89), Martin (Davies 75), Tyson, Garner (Earnshaw 82).
MOM: Wes Morgan
