I totally agree Vick, At Garda I was told that because northern boats don't support northern class events (as if Pwllheli is north) most of the curcuit events are going to be down south next year. I don't know how true this is but think it's a joke if it happens and the only argument we have is to support events when we have them.
I for one am looking forward to an excellent event at one of the best Northern sailing venues in the UK and the race officer is also outstanding, he did the Musto nationals last year.
Hope to see you all soon
Just wondering if many northern boats were planning on entering the 200 Nationals at East Lothian in Scotland in a few weeks time? It would be great to see lots of you there to help boost the North of UK RS200 status??
If you cannot manage the week there is a weekend entry to the Event for the Scottish nationals. This will be on the 21st Aug and runs into day 1 of the UK nats on sunday the 22nd. Hope some of you can make it up to help make this a great event.
East Lothian is very near the borders so only a few hours up the road
cheers

Forecast is sunny
The 1st event of the Mike Saul Dinghy Services Northern Tour was hosted by Delph Sailing Club on Saturday the 24th of April.
The wind direction was favourable which meant the race officer was able to set a windward/leeward course for the 5 races and 18 boats took part in very close racing.
Top 4 Results:
1) Chris Pickles & Laura Westell Delph 4 points
2) Matt & Emma Jenkins Carsington 9 points
3) Martin & Barbara Smith Delph 17 points
4) Matt Sharman & Justine Davies Delph 19 points
(Full results listed in a PDF file attached below to this website in file section!!)
Next event is the 5th June at Yorkshire Dales SC.
Please see results posted in the file area!!
