October 4th was National Trails Day and this gave the opportunity for riders to enjoy the magnificent forests throughout Ireland. We organised a ride through the beautiful Glenariff Forest and extended invitations to North Coast Riding Club and other equestrian facilities. Twenty riders availed of the opportunity to ride in the forest with the added bonus of permits being free for this day.
We would like to thank Ian Irwin Director of Forestry Management, Anne O'Kane and Colin Archibald of the Garvagh Forestry Office and Darryl Ridge Forestry Plant Health for all their help. Also we would like to thank Neil Graham and Frances Cassidy and David Colvin for their help on the day.
