Professional Partners

The NCJLT (National Council of Japanese Language Teachers) is an organization which supports not only the development and promotion of Japanese language materials and programs across the United States, but contributes significantly to the professional development of its member teachers (over a thousand strong, from K-16). Among the services we provide, we publish two journals, our main print-journal Oshirase and our digital newsletter, E-Oshirase. We also have a website which has information about all of the services we provide.

As we are a non-profit organization funded almost fully by our membership dues, charitable donations, we are always looking to raise money especially to support our annual contests and to keep our newsletters at the lowest cost possible for our members. In turn, we are always seeking advertisers for our two journals. Advertisers in Oshirase reach a dedicated audience of Japanese language teachers who are eager to hear about new products and teaching materials. Advertising in Oshirase and is inexpensive and easy. All proceeds benefit the projects and teacher-services provided by NCJLT, such as ACTFL session sponsorship, Nengajou Contest, and Japanese National Honor Society.
