Napoleonic Battle Corps

New Structure 13th August 2008

As of today the NBC Membership will be divided into two :

An ACTIVE Campagn Army and an IN-ACTIVE Home Guard.

The Active Campaign Army will consist of members who are ACTIVE in the lobby and/or active in the forums.

Members will be able to gain promotion while on active service. Their rank will be dropped by one level if they become in-active and are transferred into the Home Guard.

No one has had any drop in rank at this stage as this is a “new” system and would be unfair to start this without advising everyone first. Anyone moved into the Home Guard from now on will go down by one rank : to the Captain level, at worst.

The (In-Active) Home Guard will consist of members who are IN-ACTIVE in both the lobby and the forums. Promotions will not be possible in the Home Guard. As members become active, in either the lobby or forums, taking an interest in NBC matters, they will be transferred to the Active Campaign Army and may then advance up the ranks.

Please be aware that the terms “active” and “in-active” are VERY flexible and I will do my best to be fair to all. Playing one or two games a month would not be deemed active, making 2 or 3 posts a month in the forum would not be deemed active…..I will apply the same standards to everyone, but please contact me if you think I have missed something important, in regards to being “active”.

Members who take the time to adivse everyone if they are going to be away for a week or two, will not have their active status changed to NON Active becasue they are away for a few weeks.....there is no exact formula for this, so please accept that I'm doing my best to be fair and reasonable, BUT, there is little point in members being regarded as active, when we don't see or hear from them in the lobby or forums.

This page will be updated whenever there is a change in the Command structure.

The organisation chart to the left indicates the number of battles won for each Officer & Formation.

These can only be awarded when the battle result is reported in the forum. Any and all games count, EXCEPT Training or testing games, which do not count.

NEW POLICY : 13th June 2008.

A NBC player wins a 1v1 = 1 award.
Two NBC players win a 2v2 = 1 award
Three NBC players win a 3v3 = 1 award.
One NBC player wins a 2v2 with another none NBC player = 0.5 award
One NBC player wins a 3v3 with two none NBC players = 0.33 award
Two NBC players win a 3v3 with another none NBC player = 0.66 award

As an example :

If DougieJ and Frog play a 3v3 and win with a KO player on their side both will be awarded a battle honour of 0.66 - as long as it gets reported in the forum.

Note : As formations change, the Battle Honours will be allocated to the formation that the Officer (who won it) reports to.

In the next month or so there MAY be a Corps Commander appointment for the Active Campaign Army, we may need a few more active members before this is possible.

There if much to look forward to as the Clan expands and the Napoleonic gaming community gets bigger - with several new games on the way.
