The Search module provides a search box that allows viewers and members of your network to search for a specific word or phrase.
The term is searched within your network by default (you can change that).
Search results will appear on a new page on your network, and users will need to press the browser back button to return to the origin page.
Settings
Search within - this network (default), all sites on Webjam, this channel (the channel this network belongs to)
Content type to search - everything (users, networks, content), all content (excluding network names and usernames), only users, only blog posts, etc.
Sort results by - relevance (default) – this is a based on a combination of the searched word, the date and simple reputation; or sort by date
Advanced controls - these are features that allow you to limit the search options your users will have in this module. Tick if you want to remove the 'search in' and 'content type' filters, so that users will not be able to change the search settings as they wish.
Allow replication – allow other users to replicate this module so that they can display a Search module on their network. The settings of the module will be replicated. The search will be performed on the network the page appears on.
