Camp is coming along nicely. There is just one - in July. This year it is July 25 - 30. We lost power just briefly a few times. No big E.

How is CamP? I was just talking to Patrick about going to the July Peace Camp - how many Peace Camps are there each summer? I might as well be camping - we haven't had power since Sunday night! Did your home lose power? We went to DC, then south of Traverse to get clay, feathers & bones - (oh&visitfamily) now no power - so many adventures! Good excuse to stay outside kayaking and playing in the woods...

Just got back from Washington DC. I'll be positng some highlights in a few days. We are about to travel to Michigan's Northern Lower Penninsula to gather some clay for primitive pottery and visit family and friends. We'll be gone a few days. Looks like everyone has a busy weekend. We will have to reconnoiter in a ew days.

What have you been up to?

The only few things I've been exposed to re: elephants is their apparent love for their family & mate, especially near death & the ones that can paint.

Hope you are feeling better. I thought maybe I found another person with an interest in elephants. I took a course with a gentleman who was an evolutionary biologist with a focus on pachyderms. For part of the class, we prepared an elepahnt sleleton for dislplay. Unfortunately Dr. Shoshani was killed last week in a terrorist bombing in Ethiopia. So that's where my mind was going when I saw the photo...

Nice site, Mitzi
I wish I could honestly tell you there was a great background story w/ my "sick elephant" profile photo, but unfortunately, it's not that dramatic of a story. I am a recently-diagnosed asthma sufferer, and I have been feeling a little down this week, so I changed to a photo to reflect that. Nice to meet you

Great, Mitzi! I'll make you Co-Editor. Please let me know if I can help. Remember, if you see a cool module on someone else's page, you can click the pink "Add" button to copy it to yours. I'm looking forward to watching you build the site. Jim

I'll do the GLP page - I see you added a file module. Very cool

Hey Mitzi, great links. On the MAA page under Site Develpment Forum, I asked if anyone wants to adopt a page. Would you like to run the GLP Summer Gathering page? I would just make you Co-Editor. If every page is adopted by a member that is passionate about that subject, we should have a stronger site with fresher content. Also, you are good at finding relevant news stories and it would be nice to see them on the GLP or other main pages. Let me know what you think. Peace, Jim
