Misterton Sub Aqua Club

We are part of the British Sub Aqua Club, the largest diving club in the world. Being a member of the club gives you access to all the BSAC courses, some of which we run ourselves whilst others are run regionally or nationally.

We pride ourselves on providing:

  • A safe, friendly place to learn to dive.

  • Weekly meetings where you get the chance to talk diving with people

           who love the sport.

  • Access to Misterton Pool twice a month for training and recreation.

  • Access to club equipment including

    • Fully equipped diving boats

    • Compressor for filling air cylinders

    • A range of other diving equipment

Friendly members willing to lend you equipment to get you through the

early stages of training.

  • All year round diving ranging from diving throughout the UK to trips to the
great diving areas around the world.

There are lots of ways to learn to dive. Being a member of Misterton Sub Aqua

Club is a way to learn to dive to anything from a beginner level to the highest

sport diving levels available anywhere – and it’s on your doorstep! What more

could you want?

How do you become a member?

  • Come and meet us.

We meet at the Fox and Hounds pub in Walkeringham

every Thursday at about 9:00pm.

It’s the best way to find out more and get any questions answered.

You must be over 14 and, if you are under 18, you can only join

our club if a parent guardian or other adult with written consent

to act as guardian is present during the training.

  • Make sure you are medically fit to dive.

All BSAC members have to

complete a medical declaration every year. Before you start to learn to

dive, we ask that you have a UK Sport Diver Medical. You can do this

with your own GP or other doctor, but there is a list of doctors who

specialise in diving medicine, so it probably best to go to one of them.

We have the list – so ask.

  • Join the club.

A simple form and a cheque is all that is needed. If you have already learned to dive with another club or organisation, such as PADI, we will need to work out how best to bring you into the club and our club committee will need to agree to you joining at that level.

What if you are already trained?

You can join the club and go diving with us as well. You can then choose to:

  • Do no more training and stick with the level of diving you are

already qualified to do.

  • Dive with us and carry on training with your other club or organisation.

  • Transfer your existing training to us and follow the remainder of the

BSAC pattern of training with Misterton Sub Aqua Club.

We have members who have only ever trained with us, those who trained with

other clubs and those who trained with PADI or another organisation. All have

found our club to be a great place to continue their diving.

Ready to take the plunge?
