Biography: Tha 5th Element
As the flagship artist/producer for his own record label, Dub 3 Entertainment, Tha 5th Element quickly established himself in Las Vegas as the go-to guy when fantastic music was needed.
Tha 5th Element gained a sizable following with the release of his debut mixtape as Tha 5th Element entitled The Temptation. In particular, "Watch Out" which featured Sean P and co-producer Riza, became a breakout hit. The success of this single led to Tha 5th Element doing shows throughout Las Vegas. He soon signed rappers Doc Famous and Sam Blaze to his company and together the new label set out on creating their debut mixtape as a group, Tha FixTape.
On this mixtape, Tha 5th Element paid homage to his underground/independent sound on various songs Doc Famous-- and produced three successful street hits: "Devil’s Playground," "16 Shots," and "Don’t Stop." Tha 5th Element simply wasn’t going to settle for the underground/independent market and so, along with Sam Blaze, they put together a slew of songs that were geared more towards a mainstream audience. Songs like “I’m Fly” and “Dirrty Love” were well received and their success as a company motivated Tha 5th to commence his next solo project.
Due to a failed engagement, Tha 5th Element shrunk away from music for a few months and eventually signed up to leave for the US Air Force. For some reason though, it seems as though all Tha 5th Element needed was a realizing he had a countdown before he could do music for a long time, and he hit the ground running working on music once again. For this next project, he enlisted the help of Bay Area born independent phenomenon, G-Eazy and together they dropped “Tha Illest Remix”. Tha 5th Element also released the singles “Still Alive” produced by Mike B Beatz, and “Throwing My Love Away”, a self produced song about heartbreak featuring the amazing GC.
Sadly, the deadline arrived before he could complete the project and so the project was put on hold until 5th finished his basic training. Upon graduation, he got right back to music and finally completed The Demo LP. Shortly before its release, due to unknown circumstances, Doc Famous parted ways with Dub 3 Entertainment and Tha 5th Element joined Mind Rite Entertainment where he currently resides as an Artist and Producer.
