About me:
I am a widely diverse and cultured individual. My interests are vast. I am very passionate about almost everything I do. Running and music are HUGE in my life. Running is more than a sport. It's a philosophy, a life style. This is why I love running. Running utilizes your ability to endure both in mind and in body.
Music is engrained in the very essense of my being. Ever since I was very little I've been involved someway in music. I've sang in some form of a choir all my life. I started playing piano when i was 11 but recently haven't played as much as i used to. I'd like to start again, because I've retained some of my former skill. I also play guitar. I love many different types of instruments. I own a djembe which is a type of african drum. Some instruments I may consider picking up are the violin, the harp, different types of drums, etc. I'd also like to experiment with making electronic music.
I am proud to say that I was on the Team Hammond 71 robotics team for all four years in highschool. I am continuing my support of FIRST as a FIRST volunteer. I am currently active with my highscool team.
I've am and have been involved in many different activities in many different fields throughout my life.
I care VERY much about the world we live in. I have a deep sense of love for all living beings. My mind is like vast ocean of thought and emotion. Only those that are closest to me do I share my inner-most thoughts and feelings. Even then I do not share everything that I think or feel. I don't think I ever could if I wanted to. I've learned to be more open to people with my thoughts and feelings, if only to attempt to help those around me. I strive to fix my flaws when I become aware of them (and I normally do). It is a life's work though, and therefore I am ever changing in the way I go about things (always for the better I hope). There is much to me that some may not know, but to find out anymore, I guess you'll have to get to know me .
Music:
I LOVE music. Music is definately one of my strongest passions. I enjoy, singing and playing any instrument I can get my hands on, two of which includes piano and guitar. I like any music with artistic value. Lord of the Rings is my favorite movie trilogy. Other movies that I like and stick out are Pans Labyrinth, V for Vendetta, The Professional, Borat, The Notebook, Seven, Hook, Sweeney Todd, The Illusionist, etc.
Television:
I LOVE the Science Channel, National Geographic, History Channel, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and Comedy Central. I pretty much like anything that can teach me something or make me laugh.
Books:
I love love love ALL of J.R.R. Tolkien's books. I've read "The Lord of the Rings", "The Hobbit", "The Children of Hurin", and I'm currently reading "The Simarillion". EVERYTHING I've read by Tolkien is simply amazing, and I'm a huge fan. I've read all 3 books of the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Palloni and can't wait for the 4th. This includes Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr. They are amazing books! I LOVE "The Old man and the sea" by Hemingway. I really enjoyed "To Kill a Mocking Bird" and "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time", and also "Sold". These are just the Books that stick out in my mind. Nothing beats Tolkien's works though.
