Gathering of the Kings Luau, Kona Side might be one of my favorite Polynesian entertainment feasts -- although all of the islands in Hawaii offer these spectacular events.  There is nothing like a luau to fully immerse you in the diverse Hawaiian and Polynesian cultures.

When it comes to great luaus, Kona may have some of the biggest that the islands have to offer.  Each island has several locations to experience these thoroughly entertaining and breathtaking adventures.  Oahu, for one, offers nearly a half dozen different shows nightly; as do Maui and Kauai.  But as I found out the hard way, it is best to get reservations ahead of time because shows can sell out quickly.
