The Club will be devoted to LG and will have two forms of membership, one will be a Forum member, which everyone is welcome to become by registering, the other will be a LGCC member.

Les Grognards Challenge Club Code of Conduct (CoC) Members are encouraged to take part in regular LG games (MP or PBEM) and get involved in discussions on the forum with matters relating to LG and warfare in the Napoleonic era. We should at all times show full respect to fellow members, and the general Napoleonic games Community. Any of the following will be considered a SERIOUS breach of the CoC. Insults, foul language, inappropriate image posting, personal attacks of any kind and encouragement, or publicity, to use anything of an illegal nature. Complaints procedure : Any complaints about Club Members should be sent by PM to the Club Admin, with as much information and evidence as possible. Any such complaints will be re-viewed by the Club Admin and at least one other Club member chosen by the member who is being complained about. Complaints that are upheld, will be deemed a serious breach of the CoC. Sanctions will be issued depending on the gravity of the upheld complaint. This CoC applies to all members. LGCC and Forum members will be expected to follow this reasonable CoC at all times. LGCC Admin. Note : This page is subject to change at any time. Club members and Forum members

How to become a LGCC member

Anyone who is well known to LGCC Admin, with a history of involvement and good behaviour in the Napoleonic Community, may become a LGCC member at any time, by invitation from the LGCC admin team.

Anyone can apply at any time to become a Club member. This application must contain information about your interest, and any past involvement with, on-line gaming. It would be helpful if you could give links to any Club / Forums / Organisations that you have been active on in the past.

LGCC members will be grouped into the following forum "ranks".

LGCC Veteran : These will the first 25 members.
LGCC Guard : These will be the next 25 members.
LGCC Elite : These will be the next 25 members.
LGCC Line : Everyone after the first 75.

Any LGCC member who becomes in-active will be changed to a forum member and their place taken by the oldest member in the next membership group.

 

If you can provide a sponsor to vouch for you, this will greatly increase the chance of the membership request being granted. A sponsor will have to be an existing member of the Club. They should either have had some in game experience with you OR another type of relationship that shows time well spent spent in the on-line Community. To gain some in game experience please request a MP or PBEM game with any Club member, who will make every attempt to arrange such games.

The most important aspect of joining as a Club member is good behaviour, followed by an understanding of the Ladder / PRS system which all Club members will be expected to take part in. This is an important system that allows all Club members to compete in games together in a way that encourages all players to have a fair chance to win games - adding to the enjoyment and being a true challenge to everyone concerned. It is a real Challenge to win battles when your forces are less powerful than your enemy !.

The Club will be open to guests to register as Forum members and view all areas of the club, there will be no private areas but Club members will be grouped under the LGCC Group and there names will appear in blue, with Forum members being shown in black.

Forum members and Club members will be encouraged to take part in MP and PBEM games together, Club members will be expected to help others (with any problems) more than Forum members, Club members will normally be expected to be more active in game and on the Forum than Forum members might be.

I hope you all like the basic idea of the Club, regardless of which type of membership you wish to belong to.
