7 - 8pm Beginners Salsa & Rueda (New Beginners Block starts 4 July 2011, drop-in/catch-up until then)

Romina & Latin Explosion team will take this class. For the first part of it, you will work individually on salsa shines/styling, technique and understanding rhythm, before moving on to partnerwork at the second part of the class. Beneficial for all levels who are just starting to dance salsa or already-made salseros (any style) who'd like to retune their basics and perfect their techniques.

8 - 9pm Bachata, Merengue & Improvers Rueda

Piera & Latin Explosion team will be giving you partner routines in Bachata & Merengue for the first half of the class so that you can dance to all the music in the night club, followed by finishing a more complex Improver Rueda Routines (see Fast Track Rueda - Sunday timetable - for more info).

9 - 10pm INT /ADV Salsa

Taking you from Improvers into Intermediate and advanced footwork, shiness, leading and following techniques. Everything you dont have time for in your routine classes you will get here.  so each partner can shine independently as well as together on the dance floor!! Beneficial for intermediate levels and above from all styles of salsa.    

Club Night starts at 10pm with DJ James & freddy Ramirez. Medina Class Pass: a block of 12 classes for £48 (saving £24). Drop-in price £6/class, £8/2 classes, £10/3 classes. Drinks only £1.50 all night long. Learn more about the Venue.

New Beginners Block starts 29 June 2011

7.30 - 8pm  Complete Beginners FREE

Repetition of basic Cuban Salsa with different teaching points every week, focusing on the salsa rhythm, timing and technique. Mambo, Back Basic, Cuban Open, Rumba, Camina. Beneficial for anyone just starting salsa or for already-made salseros who'd like to retune their basics and perfect their techniques.

8 - 9pm  Beginners 8 Week Block (new intake 29 June 2011, drop-in/catch-up class until then)

An 8 week structured course for beginners as well as those who would like to try again or just to revise the basics in an ordered way. Will be structured to build week on week to give you all the basic steps and moves needed to dance Cuban Salsa. We will also let you know about the history and culture behind the dance as this is an essential part of understanding Cuban Dance. Also includes introduction to Rueda.

Stay on after class for a practice session with your classmates and teachers. £38 for 8 weeks - if you miss a week, catch up on Mon/Sun the following week. Responsible drinks promotion all night long £1.50.

8:00 – 9:00 pm Beginners Salsa and Rueda

To help the learning moves are practiced in a circle or “Rueda”.

Drop in class operates over the summer with a new block of classes starting in the autumn.

Romina & Yamil choreograph Rueda routines using the basics of Rueda, adding style and choreography as well as introducing a more advanced move every week.

This is open to any style of salsa dancer wishing to enjoy a fun dynamic, challenging dance.
