Dear Parents,
Hope you are managing to keep cosy.
At the moment we are able to cover every class tomorrow so please send your children in as usual.
School meals are on tomorrow as usual.

Welcome to the Langton Green School website. We have tried to incorporate all the latest facilities the internet has to offer in order to make it useful and interactive for parents and staff alike. If not already invited, you can become a member by clicking on the Join this Network button on the right. After acceptance, you can post messages about gatherings or events, see the pictures in the gallery and post ideas and topics for discussion in the forum. There's much more to come as this is just in the early stages. We need as many parents, governors, PTAers and staff as possible to join in order to make it work successfully, so please pass the message around.
Anton Vamplew and Sean Fishpool are your editors and we will be glad to receive any comments and suggestions about useful sections you think should be included. You can contact us via the members area.
Would you enjoy a really worthwhile job where you will meet a huge number of people, out in the fresh air and still have most of the day to get on with other things?
We are looking for a really special person who would like to become the "Crossing Patrol" person for Langton Green Primary School, every week day during term time, at the beginning and end of the school day.
A commitment to child safety and a sense of the importance to the community of the work, is essential, as is an enjoyment of working with people.
In return you will be warmly welcomed into our vibrant community and given essential training / uniform and supported to fulfil the role.
Please contact the school office if you are interested.
You hopefully will all have received the Christmas Card templates by now - extra ones are available from the teachers! They must be returned to the class teachers by TUESDAY 2 NOVEMBER. The samples will return 7-10 days later together with order forms - prices start from £5 for 12, with additional packs at £4 each. What a bargain! And you'll be helping the school at the same time.
Fantastic quiz night last night!! Well done Anton & the pta as you must have put so much time and effort into it! It was great fun and the questions were brilliant in that they got everyone involved - I still can't believe we got the monopoly one wrong - had to check the board when we got home!. I hope the night has raised lots of money for the school and can't wait for the next one :-)
Sunday 18th September - We're raising money for charity and the school by competing in the Dragon Boat Race at Bewl Water. If you would like to come along and cheer for the school, that would be great, but more than anything we need sponsorship - forms are in reception. Please help us if you can.
Friday 30th September - It's Quiz Night in the school hall from 7.30pm. We always have a great evening and it's a chance for any new parents to dive straight in and be part of the social action! There's a bar and a nice selection of nibbles too, so please fill in the forms that will be in the book bags tonight and pop them in the box in reception.
If you are taking part in the Fun Run this Sunday, please download and carefully read the Race Pace from the Fun Run section of the school website. Happy Training!
So we can get an idea of numbers, could you possibly return your Fun Run entry forms before we break up for Easter. Thank you.
Thanks to all of you who supported our Jumble Sale - we raised over £350 for the school.
