- A widow since 2000, I built my home in Lacombe on the Northshore of New Orleans and am enjoying living in th country somewhat. Close to everything but very peaceful here and no crime that affects me. Very involved in my work in landscaping and at church FBC of Mandeville. Moved to the New Orleans area from Jax, FL way back in ' 69 and just can't seem to leave. Hurricane Katrina did not get me too much so I feel relatively safe.
