About Kathy

Kathy lives in St Thomas, with her partner Chris, two children (aged eight and ten) and their famous cat Pickle.  She works as a freelance music teacher in a wide variety of settings and with an age range from 4 months in the baby and toddler groups through to "well into retirement" in her community gospel choir.

St Thomas Gospel Choir was started by Kathy in 2006 and it has grown from a handful of people who thought they couldn't sing into a fifty strong choir of impressive abilities, winning the small choir catagory of the Devon Performing Arts Festival in 2010. This choir is open to all adults with no auditions or requirement to read music. If you enjoy singing, but want to do it somewhere else other than in the shower or the car then this is a friendly group with a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to weekly rehearsals, the choir also do a limited number of performances each year and there are various social events for members.

P'zazz offer inspiring singing clubs in primary schools and Kathy is currently the only P'zazz Leader in the South West. She is currently running three groups at Bowhill Primary School and would love to hear from any parents or teachers in the Exeter area that think their school could benefit from hosting P'zazz sessions.

Big Noise Chorus This is a network of adult community choirs set up by Colin Rea in 2009. There are now three choirs and Kathy has been providing piano accomaniment for rehearsals and also acts as deputy choir director when needed.
