Thanks for the comment on my Fun Stuff - Sand Art discovery )

Do you mean the huge sand sculptures they do on the beaches? I have seen a few pictures of those and it just blows my mind that they would put so much work into something that is so temporary and ephemeral.

I even mention heard on a radio station about an artist who sculpts in BUTTER. He has to do his work in a huge cooler and says at 34 degrees F (I think it was) the butter has the consistency of marble(?). It's flabbergasting. (And how does one come to decide one's chosen sculpting medium is butter, I have to ask - LOL)

Such a blessing we now have the technology that these works of art are not completely lost and can be shared beyond their limited environs!

My interests:
reading, creative writing, science fiction, star trek, computer art
About me:
I'm a long time Star Trek fan. My very first episode was The Man Trap which showed in the U.K back in 1968. It was the most exciting show I'd ever seen even in Black and White. I've remained a fan ever since and watched all the series and all the movies. My favourite series has always been TOS followed closely by Voyager and DS9.

Music:
I like contempory pop. Anything not too loud and with a nice beat.
Movies:
Lord of the Rings, Sister Act, Search For Spock, Voyage Home, First Contact.

Star Trek, Stargate:Atlantis, Medium, Ghost Whisperer,Babylon 5, 4400, Firefly, Dr. Who.
