Principles Of faith

 BUSINESS CARD2

Reformed Karaism is not organized based on "institutionalism" but rather individual family traditions of faith.  Consequently this will not be an official statement of universal belief, but simply an expression of one representitive veiw of faith among a Reformed Karaim tradition and those associated with it's Halakah.

1. We believe the Decalogue was given at Mount Sinai and is an expression of G-d's will for all society

2.  We believe the Torah was given by Moses for the founding of the nation and is an expression of G-d's will for national Israel administered by the Sanhedrin as a form of public national government.

3. We believe the Tehudah was given by the Prophets for the proper reforms of personal and spiritual Judaism preceeding the destruction of the nation during the second temple period and subsequent Diaspora and is an expression of G-d's will for the Jewish family and the individual.

4. We believe the scriptures to be the inspired and authoritative guide to life and faith as they are the written testimony of the Law and the Prophets but are not to be called the "Word of God" as this term is never applied to anything written by man. The Decolgue being not considered written by man is the only exception found in the scriptures for this term.

5. We believe in One Transcendent Universal Cosmic Monotheistic God and that beside him there is no other.

6. We believe Avra'am is the father, that Rabboni Yehushua ben David Avra'am was the suffering servant mochiach, there is only one God and Mohammed was his prophet, and there will be a future messianic kingdom which will rule the earth in peace from Jerusalem.

7. We believe in the survival of consciousness after death, the future ressurection, the final judgement, and the world to come.
