Late July saw our very own Pro Team, made up of former graduates of our school now working as professional make-up artists, really show off their skills at the world renowned 'Elite Model Look' contest, being held in the uk for the first time ever this year.   Held over a number of weeks and three events,  30 initial girls are whittled down to a final selection, with one winner going forwards to represent Britain at the international final in China.

Cindy Crawford, Stéphanie Seymour, Linda Evangelista and Gisele Bundchen have all one thing in common : they all made their first steps in modeling thanks to the Elite Model Look contest and this competition is attended by all of the young, hot up and comers to the industry.

This international contest offers a unique opportunity to be noticed by the biggest fashion designers that will guide you and accompany you throughout your career.   Created in 1983, the modeling contest of the Elite agency has become a worldwide renowned international event.  Yearly, the Elite Model Look team travels throughout France seeking tomorrows top models and Britain certainly held it's own in the level of talent put forwards.

11 girls were chosen for the Final, a group photo was taken. On the 5th August a Gala was held where the winner (Nyasha Matonhodze) was announced.

This is the first time this contest has been held in the Uk- all the top 23 girls chosen received a Jemma Kidd lip balm in Apricot and an Iridescent Eye silk in Tigers Eye

The top 11 received a brush belt with 10 Jemma Kidd brushes, as demonstrated proudly in the above Gallery from the event.

Jemma Kidd Make Up School Artist, Roberta Kearsey, took some time out from the event to talk to us about the inspiration for the looks created.  "The make up inspiration came from wanting the girls (who were between the ages of 14-20) to look really natural but glamorous. We used lots of Dewy Glow in Rose Gold as a highlighter on cheekbones and all down the centre of the models legs for that healthy glowing sheen".

The 'Tigers Eye' pencil was used at the final for that beautiful soft chocolate smokey eye, so on trend going forwards to Autumn Winter along with Mia Lipstick, from our ranges Ultimate Lip Care Duo, which is the perfect nude shade on every skin tone. All on set touch ups were managed with JK On Set Mattifying powder, which is loved by Beauty Editors and Pro's alike for perfectly setting a look without that 'caked' appearance you can get with so many powders'
