KneeJointPainNursemaid's elbow is an
elbow joint pain quite common among children ages one to three. The condition refers to an injured elbow joint or tendon. This could be caused by pulling on a child’s arm when you lift them or holding their hand and not letting go if they trip or fall while walking beside you. Rarely, the elbow joint pain can be caused by a fall.
Nursemaid's elbow will usually only be detected by observation of the parent or caretaker. The child may complain of pain, hold their arm close to their body, or avoid using it due to pain. There is no swelling or redness around the joint. If you suspect this may be the problem, take your child to the doctor immediately.
