Your hips' primary purpose is to bear the weight of your upper body and to act as a means of movement. Because of the stress your hips bear every day, and even at night, the chance for injury is very high. Your hip pains can be caused by stress, Lyme disease, infection, collagen vascular disease, osteoarthritis, or trauma.
In adults, the main cause of hip pains is degenerative joint diseases such as osteoarthritis. Children are also susceptible to pains in the joint. Their hip pains may be caused by acute septic arthritis, systemic disease, or trauma.
If you have hip pains, it is best to call your doctor to get a correct diagnosis in order to treat the hip pains effectively.
It seems like finding something to help with pain in my joints is a little like gambling. I just keep rolling the dice and hoping I will hit a jackpot that will bring pain relief. On one of my dashes through Costco I noticed a little something new on the shelves (I always check out the offerings in the supplement area where the glucosamine products are). It is called Celadrin and I bought it and have been taking it for two months. I read up on it and knew that I needed to commit to at least a month of taking it to see if it would be effective. It was worth the risk as I am feeling less pain and have more flexibility in my knees. It did take a few weeks before I noticed a significant difference. I recommend giving it a try.
Because all hip treatment needs to be geared toward the specific type of hip pain or injury, not all of the treatments listed are recommended for all hip pains.
Resting your hip will allow the tendons and joint plenty of time to heal. This is important, because if you are still using your hip, the joint and tendons have no way of healing and will continue to work incorrectly. Using ice will usually help reduce any swelling if used in the first 48 hours after injury. Heat may be more useful for longer-lasting injuries, and will also help loosen and relax the tissues.
Anti-inflammatory medicines and supplements can also be useful. When the muscles and tendons that surround the joint shrink, they allow the hip the space necessary to heal. Try an all-natural anti-inflammatory like Celadrin—the natural ingredients are very effective.
Pain in a shoulder joint is quite common, and has many different causes. There are many times a doctor will send you home with an anti-inflammatory and tell you to ice or heat your shoulder and rest. So when do you really need to call your doctor?
If you are unable to carry something or use your arm
If you are unable to lift your arm
If you have a fever along with warmth or redness (This could be a sign of an infection.)
If your shoulder pain last longer than a few days
Shoulder treatment must be directed at the actual site of the problem and for the specific injury. It may take a couple of appointments with your doctor and/or your physical therapist to determine the exact problem.
It may surprise you to know how many people suffer from painful knees. It’s an extremely common complaint, and it’s no wonder. Our knees may be the hardest working joints in our bodies, especially for athletic people who are forever exercising to keep fit. For example, the runner is constantly on his feet, pounding the pavement. The motion jars the knees no matter how expensive or well-made the running shoe. On the other side of the coin, those who do little physical exercise are also at risk, putting added weight strain on the joint muscles. In a recently study, scientists found that being even slightly overweight makes you three times more likely to experience a tear in your knee cartilage. If you are bothered by painful knees, you are not alone.
Osteoarthritis is diagnosed when the pain in shoulder joints is caused when the cartilage in the shoulder begins to wear down. Because of this, osteoarthritis is often called "degenerative arthritis." This is most common among older patients with pain in shoulder joints.
When the bursae in the joints wear down, there is no longer the soft cushion to help assist the gliding motion. Without a healthy bursa, the bones begin to rub on each other, causing the pain in the shoulder joint. Without the cartilage, the shoulder is no longer able to move fluidly. This is the cause for the stiffness of osteoarthritis.
One of the best ways to ease the pain and to allow for healing time is to take a good, all-natural anti-inflammatory such as Celadrin. Natural anti-inflammatories are non habit-forming and more effective.
Thirty days to pain-free joints? Is such a thing possible? If you’re living with chronic joint pain, it’s no wonder that you’re skeptical. Joint pain is a constant, aching or swelling in the joints, causing even mundane movements to cause a lot of soreness. With Celadrin, a soft-tab joint health supplement, most people feel relief from joint pain in about 30 days. In that time, Celadrin works with glucosamine to help lubricate your joints, giving more fluidity to your movement and less pain and inflammation. The fluids in our joints can decrease and cause added friction to the cartilage that cushions our bones. Celadrin helps to restore this fluid. Thirty days isn’t a long time to wait for lasting relief, especially if you’ve already waited years.
My mother always says that most of the time the less complicated a solution is the more effective it will be. Really, she likes to say I need to follow the KISS rule: keep it simple stupid. That just does not sound nice when I break it down. I have hip issues and have been working at finding pain relief and apparently I was trying too hard and making things too complicated. I decided to try a simple supplement I grabbed on a shopping trip. It’s called Celadrin and it is an easy-to-take supplement that that is getting the job done. I am amazed at how much better my hips are and what a terrific treatment for hip this has turned out to be. So simple and effective!
Nursemaid's elbow is an elbow joint pain quite common among children ages one to three. The condition refers to an injured elbow joint or tendon. This could be caused by pulling on a child’s arm when you lift them or holding their hand and not letting go if they trip or fall while walking beside you. Rarely, the elbow joint pain can be caused by a fall.
Nursemaid's elbow will usually only be detected by observation of the parent or caretaker. The child may complain of pain, hold their arm close to their body, or avoid using it due to pain. There is no swelling or redness around the joint. If you suspect this may be the problem, take your child to the doctor immediately.
I watched my mother suffer for years from joint pain and swelling caused by arthritis. As the arthritis got worse, the more swollen and painful her joints became until eventually she began to limit the activities and hobbies she used to love, like knitting and gardening. Eventually, the joints in her fingers had so much pain and swelling that her wedding ring no longer fit on her finger comfortably. My mother isn’t old, and she is otherwise very active, so it really pains me to see her suffer from the inflammation in her fingers. I’ve done some research on arthritis, and while not all forms are hereditary, it is strongly believed that there are genetic links from one generation to the next. Knowing this, I’m taking precautions and taking early care for myself now, just in case.
