In a recent write up by the American Jewish Comedian, Jackie Mason, he castigated the Anglo Jews for merely accepting what people like George Galloway, Clair Short, Lauren Booth, (Tony Blair’s Sister-in-Law) and quickly coming online, the Green Party’s MP, although he does not actually mention her, but he does mention others.

He accuses the American Jews of the same short comings particularly where their President Obama is concerned.

He states all the anti–Semite critics know that they will always get away with some document being issued or no action what-so-ever, as Jews will only respond in this manner.  He aptly describes these Jews as some smartly dressed balding accountants.

I’m unsure if what he said was ‘tongue in cheek’ although he actually does make a point, but only a very small and on the verge of being insignificant, one.
He made no mention of allies Jews have who for a number of reasons, which may vary from the Strategic Military position of the sound base Israel offers,
surrounded by highly volatile nations who comprise the greater part of the Middle East.
The religious dependency, of many Christian sects who have common ground with the Jewish religion or on to the sheer seed generation of Jewish science and technology which has now become so vital to the worlds economy.

When some show business personality becomes what can only be described as self deluded as in the case of Jackie Mason, they take no account of distant and recent British history.
 
Recently we were prompted by a film made of the good Lady Thatcher, to document her association with Anglo Jewry and from a fairly lengthy write up I received from an Israeli source I can include in this week’s Reflections some interesting parts of that publication:

Subject: The Iron Lady

When asked of her most meaningful accomplishment Margaret Thatcher did not mention serving in the British Government, defeating the Argentinian Invasion of the Falkland Isles, taming runaway inflation or toppling the Soviet Union. Lady Thatcher of who it must be said; reshaped British Politics and served as British Prime Minister from 1979 till 1990, often said, that her greatest accomplishment was helping to save a 17 year old Austrian Jewish Girl from the Nazis.

Alan Clark, a senior Tory Politician ( who’s then Claim to Fame was that he’d bedded both mother and daughter of a certain ‘top drawer’ family and who stated in a newspaper of the period that he thought Hitler was right), wrote in his diaries that some of the old guard, himself included, thought Nigel Lawson could
not, "as a Jew," be offered the position of foreign secretary. Lawson's "Jewish parentage was sufficient disqualification " The Sunday Telegraph wrote in 1988, without a hint of shame.

Margaret Thatcher had no patience for anti-Semitism. "I simply did not understand it," Thatcher wrote in her memoirs. Indeed, she found "some of [her]
closest political friends and associates among Jews." "In the thirty-three years that I represented Finchley , I never had a Jew come in poverty and desperation to one of my town meetings... I often wished that Christians would take closer note of the Jewish emphasis on self-help and acceptance of personal responsibility."

Aghast that a golf club in her district consistently barred Jews becoming members, she publicly attacked her own party members for supporting such policy. The Jews of Finchley were "her people," Margaret Thatcher remarked - certainly much more so than the wealthy Land Barons that dominated her party.

In her desire to change and modernize Britain, Thatcher surrounded herself with bright Jewish advisors: Keith Joseph, Alfred Sherman, David Young, Nigel Lawson, Leon Brittan, Victor Rothschild, Malcolm Rifkind,  David Wolfson,  David Hart, and others. It should be noted from this type of grouping that if all these people would have been Catholic there would probably have been a public outcry.

It has been previously stated; Jackie Mason makes a point but where Anglo Jewry is concerned it is small to insignificant as he is either mis-informed or he’s read the wrong book as far as the situation of Anglo Jewry is concerned.

From a number of quarters which adds up to around five percent of the British population there will always be a ‘Fear of the Jew’ and we as Jews must be aware and know how to deal with it in what ever way or person it comes. Not such a long time ago, we had other equals to our current share of Clair Shorts and Baroness Tongues in the persons of Christopher Mayhew, the second rate actor, Andrew Faulds and a few others too insignificant to mention. These people have now been delivered back to the earth and the same will happen to the existing ones and the Jews will continue.

The temperature for the Jews will always blow hot and cold, Lady Thatcher recognised and used her people, the Jews, at this moment in Hungary there is a strong right wing element who reflect their former Nazi friends and are removing Jews in significant office. They of course will be the losers in the medium and long term.

In the meantime the envious Arabs who have nothing to look forward to other than eventual dry Oil Wells, talk of the Jews conquering the world by Science and Technology as it becomes dependent on these skills which lie in abundance in Israel and America.
