A good hunter leveling guide is similar to all power leveling guides. But hunters are a little different as they have pets. When solo playing a hunter, your pet becomes your tank; not that a hunter can't do some damage. A properly played hunter can do some serious damage. Unfortunately, you don't get the pet until level 10. Prior to that, follow the quests like any other newb.

Once you get level 10, you need to start thinking about how you plan on playing your hunter. Do you want to PVP, PVE, Raid, or Farm? Since you can pay to redo your talents, you do have the option of changing as you are levelling. This can get quite expensive because each time you relearn your talents the price increases. So, while there is no need to worry about wrongly placing talents, you won't want to spread them around willy-nilly either.

Personally, I have changed my talents so many times I can't count. There were times I wanted to raid to get gear. First I had my hunter spec'd for raiding. After I got my purple gear, I decided I wanted PVP gear. I can afford to be flaky because I have been playing since day one. However, most players will want to save their gold.

If you really want to level your hunter fast, you are going to need a quest helper and a talent guide. Quests provide fast levelling and quick cash. A good quest helper will show you where to find the mob that drops what you need. Then, it will help you remember where to return the dropped item. The best quest helpers will show you how to do two or three quests at once, saving you even more time.

When looking at a hunter leveling guide you need to look for two things: 1. The guide should inform you how to spend talents; 2. It will include a quest helper. If you have these two things, you will reach level 80 in no time.
